What is a good city to live in?

I live in San Diego and am ready for a change, SD is to expensive. I am 25 and would be moving with my boyfriend. Somewhere fun but not to pricey and has lots of opportunities!

Try looking at houses, apartments, etc. with him. You may find a quiet little house near the eastern coast. That's a good place to go if you want to make a change in your life. If you are expecting, or later due, put a nice, but cheap house. Make sure it is near a safe place in town and make sure that there are god jobs there. Always plan ahead and don't become over-whelmed with the accessories. You can figure out your location first.

Well I am in Vermillion , SD. We have a lot of people from Santa Cruz here. They really love it, and the cost of living is not too bad.

Boston or Asheville (NC) are both great... Boston has more of that big city feel but it's great. Asheville has a similar feel to Portland but it's nestled in the Blue Ridge mountains-- GORGEOUS!

if you want fun city life but can't afford it.

i would go to texas. like Housto, Austen, San Antonio.
cheap places yet have sooo much to do.

What do you want to do? What are your interest? Portland is supposed to be the next big Music scene.
You should travel to Europe and get crappy jobs and travel. SE Asia (Thailand, Vietnam, Laos, etc) are incredible places to travel and are extremely cheap to live. You could get teaching "English as a second language" jobs.
Are you into the outdoors? Live in Vancouver Canada...

St. Louis, MO.. not expensive and there are alot of things to do. The Arch, The Zoo.. both of which are free to visit and are open year round. We have an amazing city museum. Plus you can just walk around down town for hours and never get bored. During the summer they have live concerts downtown under the arch that are FREE. It is always alot of fun. We have an amazing baseball team (Cardinals).. football... hockey. If sports are your thing.

Good Luck!!!

I like Simi Valley CA its not as expensive as SD and it like 20 mins away from Hollywood and Malibu so if you need something to do its not far. We like to go out that way about once a week or so and its a safe town to live in i like it.
