There are a lot of reasonably priced hotels in Las Vegas.
At the Tropicana, weeknights are usually between $39-$59 per night. I would venture to guess that other hotels that fall in this range on a regular basis would be Circus Circus, Imperial Palace and Riveria.
Hotels like Luxor, Excalibur, Bally's, Treasure Island, NYNY, MGM are mid range hotels with prices ranging between $119 - $189 during weeknights.
Bellagio, Caesar's Palace, Wynn are upper tier hotels that are usually a minimum of $200 per night.
Of course, staying off the strip is likely less expensive (even a block from the strip can save you $$$), but you have to find a way back to the strip for the "good" entertainment.
All of the hotels have more expensive rates on the weekends and when there is a large event in the city.
When choosing a hotel, it's important to consider price, amenities, gaming limits you're looking for, your trip plans (if you want to do a lot of the "free" activities at the south end of the strip, you don't want to stay at Stratosphere), and LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION!
Places like Bally's, Paris, Planet Hollywood, Bellagio, and Caesar's Palance are in the heart of the strip and give you a mid point to start each day.
Personally, I've stayed at NYNY, Luxor, MGM, and, most recently, Treasure Island. I would and will stay at the south end of the strip (Mandalay Bay/Excalibur/NYNY/MGM/Monte Carlo) next time. It seems that that end has more variety of restaurants and more variety when it comes to gaming limits.
No matter where you pick, you're bound to enjoy yourself in Sin City! I highly recommend checking out www.travelocity.com - it's a pretty good resource, as you're getting reviews from customers, not hotel management. |

This is a little known & great value, non-casino hotel. The rooms are all suites and it's located on Flamingo, a couple of blocks from the center of the strip.

Circus Circus is reasonably priced.
I recently stayed for four nights at the Orleans and we got a great deal. The rooms were large and comfortable. (It's not on the strip though... it's located on Tropicana, about a mile or so west of the strip.)
Check Expedia.com for rates. And staying during the week is always cheaper than the weekend. |

I like The Mirage. Good central location, good value for money. Great pool and casino. |

if you don't mind being slightly off the strip, and you are really wanting to save your money for the tables, try the Motel 6, I think it's on Tropicana - about 3 blocks from the MGM. It's got a nice pool, a neon sign and a convenience store(with gambling machines!), but obviously, being a motel 6, nothing else - but you are only a 10 minute stroll to the top of the strip. |

Prices depend on the dates you plan to go, but I've found the Monte Carlo to be pretty reasonable for its worth. If you prefer lower-rating hotels, the Excalibur or Luxor hotels might be good, too. |

Yes. Try www.lasvegasnow.com
Off the Strip you will find reasonable prices at Orleans, Gold Coast and South Point; all local favorites
On the Strip try Tropicana and Sahara or Circus Circus |

i think the luxor is pretty cheap, my friend stayed there. You could always try hotels OFF the strip, they're usually cheaper. |

There are cheaper places to stay at the downtown casinos like Fitzgeralds, Slots of Fun or Lady Luck. |

Back in 2003 me and my family stayed at the Stratosphere Tower Hotel for 3 nights. I don't know how much it was but my Dad isn't the person to spend lots of money on a hotel so I guess the price was quite reasonable. The hotel was excellent by the way. |

You can find some for like $30-$70 per night, then there are some that are more expensive, it just depends on what "reasonable priced" means.....check expedia, orbitz and all of those out... |

I have stayed at the Riviera and that was one of the cheaper places on the strip. It's at the end of the strip, but we just paid $5 for an all day bus pass to go further up the strip. The room was clean and the service was great. They had a nice pool. We stayed there for budget reasons and were impressed. I would stay there again.
I have also stayed at Imperial Palace. It was okay. You would be in a great location. Honestly, I was just as impressed with our room and service at the Riviera.
Circus Circus has lower rates. There are a lot of families that stay there with their kids. Unless you're traveling with children....I wouldn't recommend it. |

I would recommend Bills Gamblin Hall. Its a small hotel between Flamingo and Ballys and across the road from Ceasers Palace and Bellagio.
It is one of the top rated hotels on tripadvior http://las-vegas-hotels.tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Review-g45963-d91700-Reviews-Bill_s_Gamblin_Hall_Saloon-Las_Vegas_Nevada.html
I stayed in September 07 and cannot fault it in the slightest. It does not have a pool but you can use the Flamingo Pool (hotels are owned by the same company and the Flamingo Pool is considered one of the best.
My review of the hotel (with pics) is on tripadvisor http://las-vegas-hotels.tripadvisor.com/ShowUserReviews-g45963-d91700-r10055203-Bill_s_Gamblin_Hall_Saloon-Las_Vegas_Nevada.html |
