Orlando FL for Disneyworld or Universal Studios. TN would be cold but Chattanooga has a great aquarium. Rock City is nearby but again, it would be C O L D and RC is mostly outside rock formations. |

For the best amusement parks go to Orlando Florida.
The weather will be much better than Maryland.

i was in vegas last year for new years. it was awesome. i would suggest staying away from the eastern shore cause it will be freezing. i'm from the DC area, and i can tell you that it will most likely be around 20 degrees in MD on new years and if you're outside thats just not fun. not to mention it MD, not much happens there. and DC is just going to get really annoying and crowded. and if you're looking for an amusement park, then any in MD arent going to be open. they are closed for the season. lousiana will be a blast. party city!! |

Pick somewhere in Florida. You will find lots to do and the weather will be good. I am partial to Key West, Fort Myers Beach, and the Cocoa Village area. Cocoa Village is not far from the Kennedy Space Centre. Of course, Orlando has numerous attractions, but in January will not be as warm as Key West. I spent New Year of 2004 at Fort Myers Beach - it was lovely. |

In January I would consider Florida. Most of the US is so cold for a vacation. Orlando has Disneyworld and a ton of other parks.
But if you don't mind the cold you can never go wrong visiting New York or Chicago.
If you come to Tennessee go to Memphis. We don't have an amusement park, but we have Graceland!! We also have a great entertainment district and bars and restaurants. |

time square in NYC is a busy place to be on new years but if you want parks you are gonna have to stay west or far south Florida or California, Arizona if you wanna travel you need to figure out what you wanna do and how much you have to spend then research that or talk to a travel agent. and remember holidays are an expensive time to travel, not that its not already. |
