I don´t live in a US state, I live in Austria (not to confuse with Australia)
It´s a rather small but nice country in the heart of Europe!!
There are many mountains where you can go hiking, climbing, skiing in winter. There are a lot of lakes, the capital city is "Vienna". There are a lot of interesting buildings, old churches, castles and museums in Austria.

I live in CT, it's great. Summer seems short & Winter seems long.
We're close enough to NYC to hang out & have a good time & appreciate the peace & quiet of coming back home.

Weather usually sucks. LOTS of gray days. LOTS of cool days. Not enough sun.
Record highs in the summer, record lows in the winter.

Cost of living is average, maybe on the low side.
Real estate is affordable, I bought my house at age 25.

Lots of nearby colleges, but most job markets are saturated.

Beautiful - lots of parks, campgrounds, rivers, mountains. If you go on a road trip anytime in the fall the foliage is breathtaking. I do love it here n the fall (before it starts snowing)

Currently in North Carolina in the cotton field region which is really flat. Pretty nice place to live and the people are overall nice. Personally Virginia which is my home state is my favorite. Beautiful scenery, nice people, wildlife, history, I could go on and on...

Great...I live in KY and it's very nice here right now. I like the fact that we actually experience 4 true seasons here.

For the most part, the state is clean and well kept. Also, you can experience mountains, flat areas, rolling hills, forests, rivers, and more all within a 2-3 hour trip.

maine has country, nature, ocean, lakes, nightlife in the cities and Canada only a couple of hours away. You can take a cruise, see a concert, go camping, go fishing or just cruise the old port on any given weekend.

boston is only 2 hrs away...go sox!

Plenty to do! Full of wide open spaces! It takes about 12 hours to cross it. Forest so deep that you have to pipe sunshine in. Welcome to TEXAS

garga

It's beautiful. I live in Maine and absolutely love it here. A bit cold in the winter, but it's an awesome place overall.
