Outside of NYC, I'd say Niagara Falls, the Finger Lakes, Lakes Ontario, Erie, & Champlain, Cooperstown & the Baseball Hall of Fame, the Adirondack Mountains, Hudson River, Saratoga Springs, the Erie Canal, apples, dairy cows, glass manufacture (Corning), the Iroquois League, Woodstock, Washington Irving, James Fenimore Cooper, the beaches of Long Island, and some beautiful scenery.

The City.The Yankees. 9/11 , Statue of Liberty, Little Italy , Chinatown. Broadway , Empire state building Madison Square Garden, Museums. As far as a state it is liberal, has good apples and has all four seasons. It is also considered expensive to live in.
