What is summer in Seattle like?

Does it get humid and hot at all?

It rains in Seattle every day in the summer!
Okay, it really doesn't ... in fact, most summers are 'really beautiful' ... it's usually 'warmer' than it is 'hot' and it's not at all 'humid' most of the time. The 'average' temperature is about 72-75 but it can get 'really hot' (into the 90s) on occasion. It does still 'rain' in the summer here, too, sometimes, which is why it's so 'green' year around ...

I have lived here for 7 years and there is a range in the summer. The best months to visit are July/August/September. The climate is usually between 70-95 degrees out usually in the 80 range in August. It is usually sunny all summer long with the exception of the occasional rainy day. It does not really get humid here. Nothing like the south at all. I would recommend coming to Seattle for a summer anytime! A very nice, refreshing climate and not burning hot!

We have a maris climate here last summer it got into the hundreds a few times but overall when i mean hot in saettle im talking like 75 to 80 degrees and there is always wind coming from the sound and off of the coast so it is never humid here

Summer in the Seattle-area is awesome! It typically doesn't get too hot, but the past few years have proven differently. Last summer there were some highs in the 90s which is not usually typical. It does get (a little) humid, but there are usually nice breezes that flow through, especially since the city is surrounded by water!

warmish and but prepared for rain!

i would imagine very rainy but i've never been there. i wanna go badly but dont know anyone there

Seattle doesn't know what humidity is!
It gets hot if you are from the area and you think you're dying when it reaches 90F.
But it's absolutely beautiful!

Everyone is saying that it's rainy but that's not at all true. The last few years we've had major droughts. We have to have our water rationed now!

RAINY EVERYDAY! CLOUDY YOU WANT TO DIE! IT'S HORRIBLE! DON'T EVER COME HERE OR LIVE HERE!

kidding, except the don't live here part. it's beautiful in the summer. amazing in fact. when the sun shines here, you forget what it's like to have damp sidewalks. it's not too hot, it's just right. rarely rains. i remember it did hail once, but i found the hail amazing, because somehow, it was accomidated with the sunshine =]

Wonderful and usually extends into October before the rains really set in. You visit Seattle in September and you won't want to live anywhere else.

I mean, it rains 24/7/365 stay away, you would hate it.

Chris C
It gets into the mid 70s as an average.
The humidity is never really a problem because there is always a breeze.

skater p
it's good

It depends on the year, we generally have a good months in june and july... We had a really good snow pack this year so looks to be a decent summer.

Our summers can be a little wet though. Highest it generally gets is the 70s...
