Children of any age can enjoy Walt Disney World. However, if you are not sure whether or not you will ever return, then you should wait until she is fairly cognitively adept--e.g. 8 or 9--and at least 48" tall, so that she can go on all the rides.

Personally I always thought ages 3-5 are the perfect ages to visit. They are at an age where they can speak, walk, and understand what is going on. |

If you take your kids before their 6 or 7 the only one who will remember the trip will be you and your camera. I would recomend to wait until your kids can go around the whole park by themselves without a stroller.
Having said that, every family has a different experience, you can take 10 year olds and have a terrible time or take a toddler and ride Dumbo 8 times and have the time of your life. |

I think at 3 years old is the earliest you can take a child to DisneyWorld and they will actually enjoy it. |

pretty much any age...they have something for EVERY PERSON...the earliest time to take a child to disney world.....5 or 6...and u go on from there |

I would say 4. I have a 4 year old boy, and I would take him now. I wouldn't have taken him a year ago though. I don't think 4 or 5 would be to young. |

Many people ask this question and my answer never changes. Children younger than 6 have a great time in all the parks, but they have many fussy hours, need rest during the day or have to ride in strollers. It is not the best way for them to enjoy the park. By age six they are used to school days, waiting in line and all the other aspects of a park day. |

I would say in the 5 or 6 area, they tire easily when they are younger and are less likely to remember most of the trip. I always see young children 2 or 3 and tired at 11 AM and ready to leave in the early afternoon. |

Your plan of waiting til she's 4 is a good one, though we took our daughters when one was a bit younger. She is now 14 and still remembers. The one thing to keep in mind is not over do it. You won't take it all in, so don't try. Do what you can, take breaks by going back to the hotel and her swim.
Disney is great for all ages, stick with your plan.

Disney World is perfect for a 4 or 5 year old! In fact, i've been going every year since i was 3 and im 18 now hahaha
Theres things to do for ANY age, guranteed, it's worth the costs at any age.
If it's not in your budget to go every year, or every other year, i suggest taking her at an age that she'll remember the great time shes going to have. |

I would say if it's a once in a lifetime trip, you should wait until she's at least five. You might have photos and video of her there, but at any younger age she's unlikely to remember much of the trip, if any. Wait until she's old enough to remember the magical time she had there. You won't regret it. |

If this is going to be a special occasion for her, not something that you will be able to do every couple of years, I would choose about 7 or eight. This is old enough to remember it and young enough to still really enjoy it. |

I would say about 7....My son is 5 and he only remembers it because he goes every single year. If we were not able to take him this often I would have waited until he was closer to 7. If you can take her before she may not remember it but you will have awsome pictures. Last year with my middle child he was 10 months old and the pictures of him with the characters and seeing the lights are so precious. I think that she'll have a good time at 4 or 5.....
I just got back from a 10 day stay in florida, we got home on Monday. I think that the BEST age to take a child would maybe be around 8 - 10. Theres SO much walking to do, and it seemed like the little ones were getting really tired! They do have strollers that you can rent (or you can bring your own) but its such a hastle! before you can go on the rides you have to find a place to park it (and you have to leave it unattended)..
You can always go twice! Go once when shes around 5 and then again when shes around 10! theres so many rides for the little ones (dumbo, the tea cups, etc..) and then when shes older she can go on the more adventerous rides like space mountian, etc...
Theres things there for EVERY age to enjoy!! So when ever you take her, I'm sure she'll LOVE it!!
For the little ones, they have this new thing called the bippidy boppidy botique. You can pay about 45 dollars to have them "Turn your little pumpkin into a princess"...they do the kids hair and makeup like a princess, putting glitter in it and stuff..it was really cute! Theres different packages, with one of the packages you even get to pick a costume so that you can look just like your favorite princess!! |

To be honest, its too young even at 4 or 5!
I have so many friends who went to Disney around that age and dont even remember it! It's not worth it, especially when your spending all that money!
I think the best/young age to take your child is between 9-12
The first time I went to Disney, I was about 12-13 and it was the best trip I had ever been on and I still remember it!! (Now I'm 20)

I think 5 or 6 is perfect, my son was 5 last year when we took him, and even though he loved it, and we enjoyed it very much there were still some rides that he couldn't get on. But there are all sorts of things that kids can enjoy there. |
