Norma Jean are from Atlanta and they're very high up in the "Hardcore" genre.
Out of those four, I'd say Mastodon because of the song they wrote for the intro of the Aqua Teen Hunger Force Movie, haha. "Linoleum Kniiiifffe!" haha great movie. |

Out of those 4 I would pick Sevendust but my favorite band from Georgia is The Black Crowes by far. |

I really enjoy Mastodon the most out of the bands you've listed.
So many great bands/artists came out of Georgia. The Black Crowes were cool, and The B 52's were funny as hell to watch! Several people still think that The Allman Brothers and Lynyrd Skynyrd were Georgia natives, but those bands were actually formed in Florida.
Hey...let's not forget about Little Richard!
Edit -
Hey Roxell...here's a few Black Crowes videos. I'm sure you'll recognize some of this stuff. They were very popular during the early 90's...very obvious Aerosmith/Rolling Stones influence:

Here they are with Jimmy Page of Led Zeppelin...

After watching those classic Zeppelin tunes...The Black Crowes are definitley my favorite Georgia band! |

Georgia Satellites !!
Remember "Keep Your Hands to Yourself" ??
EDIT -
Sorry, Roxel - I misread hyour Q. I thought it was Any band from GA.
If I have to pick from your list of 4 - I have to go with R.E.M. -- I bet the other 3 have something to do with Hardcore Metal - and you know I'm still learning the JON-RAH :)
btw - Smilley - I always enjoy seeing your "essays" (seriously) - I always learn something new!!
You should write for a a Rock Mag :)
