You want a resort on the neighbor islands, and there are many. The best are probably on the Kohala coast of the Big Island.
In Honolulu, the Kahala, and the Halekulani Hotels are the best, with the Moana Surfrider an interesting third (very historic). The Royal Hawaiian is being renovated, so is out for now. All hotels and resorts now have amazing spas, part of that 5-star experience! |

Halekulani on Waikiki Beach in Oahu is a spectacular choice for a true 5 star experience. Halekulani's Spa experience is absolutely unreal! |

Depends which island. If you are staying on the Big Island, the Hilton Waikoloa is fabulous... sheltered lagoons filled with tame fish/turtles, pools with waterslides and overhanging waterfalls and bridges, a tram and boats to take you around the grounds, and a great spa (try the hot rock massage) that includes soaking in their natural jacuzzi. They also have a program where you can swim with dolphins and kids camp. It is a beautiful place. Romantic, fabulous. |

I love the 4 seasons Maui, also try the Grand Wailea or the Fairmont.... all 3 are in wailea that is my favorite part of the island... I have also stayed at the Ritz Carlton but it seemed kinda stuffy and outdated (70's?)... I think they might have updated it though in the past few years so it might be nice now ( but alot of walking to get around) Where ever you go Enjoy! |

Watch out and check the net for the situation before you book. I just returned from 5 weeks Kauai, Maui, Oahu and Big Island. I can't belive that some of the answers you are getting name hotels that have closed down!!! If you want the best then go for the Ritz-Carlton or Marriot ressorts. |

on which island?!?!?! haha u didnt specify. well, i just got home from o'ahu and we stayed at the hilton hawaiian village. its a great hotel for families and it def has EVERYTHING u can think of, even their own post office. it was very nice, but we saw nicer that we shoulda stayed at. the royal hawaiian is BY FAR theeeee most gorgeous ang luxurious hotel on waikiki. everything about it is pink. its a very famous hotel. even their beach umbrellas and towels r pink!! there is NO other hotel on waikiki like it. unfortunately, i dunno when u plan to go, but it's closed to remodeling until jan 1st i believe.
also, the moana surfrider is GORGEOUS. these 2 resorts were absolutely stunning. they seem more adult-like (aka not many young kids) so i dunno what ur looking for.
if u wanna get away from the tropical detroit-like city on honolulu, a fabulous resort at the northshore of the island (im pretty sure its actually the only resort at that end of the island) is the turtle bay resort.
hope this helps. lemme know if u have any more questions. |
