What is the best state to live in, in the United States?

Well, I live in KY, but I think the best state to live in would be South Carolina. I have been there on multiple occasions for a vacation, and it always seems perfect to me. Of course, the beach is very nearby, and there are plenty of little shops and things you can visit. And, Charleston has a nice downtown area, with lots of restaurants and stores. Oh, and there's also The Market, which is a big, open-air place housing little stands with items ranging from flea-market-ish to high-priced art or jewelry. So, there is a lot of variety in South Carolina; You are sure to find something there you like.

Not California. Expensive, way over-crowded, way too many cars, no seasons, and EARTHQUAKES can happen at any time, sir/mam, CATATROSPHIC earthquakes, with NO warning.

that depends on what your looking for in life. I have traveled all over U.S.A. and always return to East Tennessee. I love the mild winters, sometimes snow, beautiful spring, unreal fall, mountain streams and lots of wildlife. I prefer the critters to humans.

That is like asking what is the best country to live in. No one knows. There are too many variable. Some states have no income tax but make it up with high sales tax or property taxes. Some have really cheep real estate. Some have terrable laws some have better. Some are corrupt. Some have friendly people. Some residence are a- s holes. Some have better air quality.

People who are content tend to thing where they live is the best. People who are board think its the worst. They all have one thing in common. They're all boring and will take your money. You might as well stay put.

its more expensive but it has everyhting, mountains, desert, snow, beach and awesone weather.

if not he 2nd best is hawaii. its the most beautiful i love it.
i live in san diego and have been to hawaii twice, my husband and i plan on moving there ina few years.
