I live in Denver, CO, but I moved from Youngstown, Ohio, due to my job. Youngstown, OH-Sharon, PA area has extremely affordable housing and sports are a way of life in Western PA - Northeastern, OH. There are some very good schools in both areas (Canfield, OH, Poland, OH and Hermitage and Sharpsville in western PA). Go to vindi.com (Youngstown Vindicator newspaper) or www.sharon-herald.com to check out the local news/lifestyle. The only downside is the weather; this is a very cloudy part of the country, due to "lake effect" weather from Lake Erie. |

Delaware.. Its not as fast-paced as New York but not as slow as Florida.
Education, Sports Opportunities and Affordable Homes. Its all here.. not to mention low crime rate.. which im sure is your other concern. |

Colorado. It has a lot of outdoor activities because of the mountains and has all 4 seasons. It also has great universities and schools. It is a very up and coming state. Lots of people want to move here. Because of the economy you can move here pretty cheap and it is guaranteed to appreciate in value. |

Most of California has great schools as well as sport opportunities for kids to get involved in. There are generally a lot of jobs available near the major cities but there is the downfall. If you live near the major cities cost of homes is really high unless you want to commute. |

Salt Lake City would be a good choice. The climate is not too hot or cold in the summer and winter, and it's a very neat town. The population of the metro area is close to 2 million, but Salt Lake City has a small town feel to it.
I have only visited SLC, so I can't recommend any schools or anything, but the city has so much to offer. It has the most unique library I have ever seen, Temple Square and so much other interesting things to do. I can guarantee that there's much more to do that what I've offered.
Good luck! |

I live in Iowa and it's a great place to live. There are plenty of medium sized towns. (Mine's 50,000) The schools are great, and the cost of living is low. Plus people are all very nice, and towns are clean and neat looking. |

Do not move to the Northeast whatever you do. Ask anybody that has moved there from a decent part of the country and they will agree.
Go to northern VA (Alexandria, Arlington, Reston...), they have the best public schools in the country. I used to live there a while back and loved it so much. If you want more affordable housing go to Reston or Alexandria
It is all an entirely urban area with suburbian areas within them, but if you want big big you could just commute to D.C. which is literally 2 minutes away...
You might also want to try St. Louis, my dad used to live there and it was pretty nice but not too urban. Chicago is awesome, but I'm not sure if you want to go too much into the city |
