However to correct a previous error, the longest coastline in the US is also Alaska with both Artic and Pacific coasts, then Florida with both Atlantic and Gulf coasts Followed by CA, HI, LA and TX.

Alaska's largest in area, California has it in population.
As for coastline, Alaska has it by a landslide; its coastline is actually longer than the lower 48 COMBINED. There are so many fjords and inlets and islands as it is, and almost the whole border of the state is with the ocean (except for the one land side with British Columbia and the Yukon Territory).

If you mean the continental USA, then Texas is the biggest state. But if you mean the entire USA (the continental USA, plus Alaska and Hawaii), then Alaska is the biggest state of all of them. But California is the longest state and has the longest coastline. But overall, Alaska is the biggest state.
