I have a feeling your talking about Seattle's "Space Needle". Probably the most well known building in Seattle. it's got a very beautiful view of the city, however, the price to ride the elevator up for me is definitely not worth it, unless you're coming for a one day trip and never coming back to Seattle again..and in that case maybe it is worth it just to say you did it. I would suggest eating the restraunt up there though because you get the same view, and at sunset to sundown it's beautiful (even though expensive) and the restraunt revolves. It's pretty cool.

Space needle was completed the year I was born 1962..hehehe.. I have been up in the restaurant many years ago, WOW, it is worth what you pay for the meal to sit up in there as it slowly turns 360 degrees while you eat!

You only pay to go to the observation deck, not to the restaurant.

Well since everyone knows about the spaceneedle, and it is technically not a "building", I'm thinking you must be talking about our tallest buiding downtown. It's called the "Columia Center". At 76 stories it is one of the tallest buidings on the west coast

You might be thinking of Cleopatras needle. Its not a building but was created for Cleopatra. The french had it but a storm knocked it into the water and it ended up floating to our shores And there she stands. But ya, alot of people dont know the history that brought it to us and call it the space needle.
