Lake Argyle (all 2000 square kilometers of it). A beautiful lake (9 times as big as Sydney Harbour) in the Kimberlies which is a spectacular part of the world in itself. It is surrounded by amazing wildlife and best of all - there are hardly any humans there.
Lake Louise in the Canadian Rockies was also a very picturesque lake (tiny as it was).

Many, Lake Bassenthwaite, Windermere, Coniston. Come to England and see them yourself in the Lake District, I love it.

There is a lake about 50 miles from my home that is absolutely beautiful. You go through a canyon with winding roads and it builds to a summit. When you get to the summit, you look down and here is this beautiful torquoise colored water usually with the white sails of boats can be seen from afar. The beaches are wonderful and usually filled with people. That part is a downer. It is located in both states of Utah and Idaho. It is called Bear Lake.

The water is warm. The color is so amazing. It looks like those pictures you see of lakes that have glacier run off in them. It is spectacular and huge. Great place to spend the summer.
