The west coast of Florida, a small town called Tarpon Springs. It is near some of the most beautiful beaches and islands around anywhere.. The people are friendly and it still has the small home town feel. Not like the larger areas of Florida. Check out two islands, both are state parks: Caladesi Island and Anclote Key. You will need a boat to reach both but they are the REAL Florida!

I live near a city that has all of that . It's Lisbon, in Portugal (Europe). But the best place I've ever visited, and that has all the qualities you've mentioned, is Barcelona, in Spain.

Visited: Venice would probably top the list. In contention are Paris, Prague, Koh Samui (Thailand), Bali pre-1990's.

The nicest place I have visited was the Poconos in Pennsylvania. It is a beautiful vacation resort in the mountains. The best time to visit is in winter because the landscape is breathtaking and it is very romantic and family friendly.
