The Bronx: Soundview, University Heights, Castle Hill, Kingsbridge, Wakefield, Hunts Point.

Queens: Hollis, Jamaica, Rockaway, Ozone Park.

Brooklyn: East New York, Brownsville, Bushwick, Crown Heights, Coney Island.

Staten Island: Mariners Harbor, Stapleton, parts of Jersey Street.

Manhattan: Harlem, Washington Heights, East Harlem.

For the people that said The Bronx. I highly doubt any of you have lived in The Bronx. I do live in The Bronx and have lived in Brooklyn and Queens and The Bronx is better then both.

Areas change within like a 10 block radius... there's tons of fabulous places but sometimes they seem close to bad places... not all the areas in harlem are bad nor the bronx or brooklyn

Bed-Stuy and the Southeast of Queens, included the Rockaways are 2 of the baddest place to live. However, crime in NYC has dropped in the last 15 years, but like in any large city, you have to keep alert.

BTW: The Bronx is not a bad place to live, especially the South Bronx. For those who said the South Bronx or any part of the Bronx is bad, has never been to the borough.

You can't name a whole borough because there are good and bad places. In my opinion:

BRONX:
Fordham Road area, Jerome Ave, certain areas near Grand Concourse, certain parts of Soundview, South Bronx in certain areas

QUEENS: Far Rockaway, certain parts of Jamaica

BROOKLYN: Brownsville and certain parts of East New York and Bushwick

I am not familiar with Bronx but I would hate to live in Chinatown, it must be the dirtiest place in the whole city.

^^Wakefield is not all that bad. I guess it's based on where you are located.

I agree with Native New Yorker. Those of yall who is saying the Bronx is bad, either you haven't been to the Bronx, or you hear bad talk about the Bronx. STFU with all that.

Anywho I would say the Mott Haven section of the Bronx, Hunts Point, and the area by Yankees Stadium.

Brooklyn-Brownsville, East New York.

Manhattan-parts of Harlem, and Washington Heights as well.

If you are close to a train station (above ground), and/or airport, it's bad, due to all that noise.
