a few museums. if you go downtown the house of blues has shows that can be cheap. the galleria has good shopping stores if you are into that. maybe you can get tickets to a starz (hockey) game at the american airlines center. deep ellum- not far at all from dallas, has a bunch of clubs if you are into that kind of thing as well as underground/local bands that perform for like 5 bucks most nights. the zoos are fun, I recommend the ft. worth one over the dallas one though. hope this helps

In Frisco, there is the Stonebriar Center, which is a huge mall. If you go there, lots of ladies love Sam Moon's which has cheap, cheap purses and accessories. Dallas has more shopping per capita than any other city in the United States so every visitor to Dallas has to go to a mall. I recommend Stonebriar Center in Frisco, Grapevine Mall in Grapevine, The Galleria Mall in Dallas, and the Northpark Mall in Dallas, respectively. In Dallas, there is the sixth floor museum which is a museum dedicated to JFK's assassination. There are several art museums and stage performances. There are multiple concerts every night in the Dallas area. There is also the Dallas World Aquarium. On the third weekend of the month, there is a huge market set up in McKinney, where you can find people sell all sorts of things from plants to dogs, to antiques to crafts. Tons of stuff. There are tons of movie theaters all around. It is not hard at all to find something fun to do in the Dallas/Fort Worth Area at all unless you are just a dull person. Hope this helps!*

There are quite a few items downtown: museums, West End dance clubs.

There is SMU University, where there are several museums as well.

If you care to venture to Ft. Worth, there is a great science museum there as well as a world-renown Kimball Musuem.

The Dallas Morning News newspaper has a "Arts" section online as well as in print that has a listing of the "current events".

Hope this helps!

Lots of Malls.
For clubbing go to Deep Ellum... lots of clubs all in walking distance.
The West End has a lot of shopping and restaurants, also all in walking distance. You can also take a carriage ride around The West End and learn the History, and see where President was assinated.
Hope that helps. Have fun.

I think there are some free museums. Also the Grapevine Mills Mall is an interesting place to go; it's near the west end of I-635.
