For dining out Cleveland has a bit of everything! Cleveland has so many tasty italian restaurants and irish restaurants! Most of the restaurants listed are located west of Cleveland! They are not that far at all. Half of them are located at big huge shopping strip! It is called Crocker Park you must check it out =) some of the stores are:

Magnificat Class of 2012 is right on the money, but don't forget the ICE CREAM. The midwest is known for it's love of icecream and Cleveland gives you all the reasons why......
(Can you imagine a resturant with nothing but ice cream?)

Magnificant Class of 2012 above has some great ideas. I would second Legacy Village and Little Italy -- best Italian food I've had ever.

I don't know about your majors or what you're planning for college, but if I could offer some advice: make sure you make the most out of your college visit.

Do the campus tour thing, but be sure to set up to talk with students/professors in the majors you're interested in. Check out the dorms you can live in, as well as the neighborhood around your school. This may be the only chance you get to visit it.

And don't forget to set up visits with other schools, if you're in the neighborhood.

You can honestly visit two schools and still have some time to sight see. And just think, if you go there, you can check out all the places in detail people have listed.

People have mentioned the Cleveland Zoo as an option but say that it will be cold in March, well the Rain forest Exhibit is entirely inside and warm year round. It is the best part of the zoo and has so much to look at if you are an animal lover. There an admission price for the Rain forest or zoo and also a price for both in the same day. I can spend several hours in just the rain forest exhibit!! I just love it.

The zoo is actually very nice. The water front is also good.

Actually- March 15th is St Patricks Day- downtown will be NUTS!!! Check out the parade and enjoy the crowds and green beer... if you're 21, of course ;-) You're in for a treat!!! Great timing!

1. Edgewater Park has great views of lake erie and the city skyline
2. West Side Market is a great public market similar to those in boston and seattle(w. 25th street)--at least go for lunch
3. rock n roll hall of fame is pretty fun
4. little italy area near case western is great for food and just walking--one of the nicest little italys i've ever seen

--all of these places are well known and any one can point you in the right direction, cleveland is pretty to easy to navigate around
