My favorite is the Venetian. The rooms are very luxurious and large, the customer service by every single staff member is world-class and the rates are a good value for the money. I've stayed at the Venetian on several occasions and it even ranks among my favorite hotels in the world. The spa is great as is the salon. If you enjoy steak then you should dine at Emeril's Delomonico restaurant.

My second choice is Mandalay Bay because of their gorgeous rooms.

I strongly recommend signing up for their email specials as you can receive great offers that you won't find elsewhere.

Bellagio...The front & lake is simply breath taking...

What's your budget? Which days of the week are you staying? The Hilton is nice. Away from the Strip on Paradise.

Sunset Station. Off the strip and closer to my god children. Not as crowded as others.

Our favorite Strip hotel has become MGM Grand. We have stayed at almost 30 places in Vegas including a few that no longer exist :( and it has a good combination of things we look for in a hotel...

Nice rooms
Decent room prices
Great selection of restaurants from gourmet to fast food
One of the best pools in Vegas
A huge casino (though the games could be better)
A good location on the strip

I have a bunch of pics of several room types as well as maps and other pics on my site at...

Have a great trip!

If your main consideration is room value (and you don't want to stay somewhere dumpy) -

The Orleans or Palms are the best place to stay off strip. The Golden Nugget the best downtown. The Strip is a little tougher - it all depends on your price range and you tend to get what you pay for (avoid circus circus or the excalibur and you will be fine)

DodgerBlue42
If you can afford it, stay at the Wynn... if not there, Bellagio, Paris, the Venetian, in that order.

It depends on the atmosphere you are looking for. The last time we went, we stayed at the Hilton Grand Vacations, it's not a casino and it's at the north end of the strip just before you get to Paradise. It's really nice, comfortable rooms, great workout facility and the pool is awesome. The spa had just opened when we went, but it had great potential.

Arizona Charlies --- It's off the strip on charleston, has bingo every hour on the odd hour, rooms are nice and not too expensive, and you dont have all the hustle and bustle of the strip.

First off where is the wedding at? Next what kind of cash do you have....If your short on cash some place downtown on fremont street would be the best...The nugget or main street are really nice...If you really want to stay down on the strip somewhere the Luxor is nice and not too expensive....If you got cash...Mandolay Bay rocks they even have a wave tank, if you are looking for classy the Beligio and the Vanictian (not sure of spelling)...I also really like Ceasers Palace....These places also aren't as crowded as some of the other ones...Have fun Vegas Rocks just remember the strip is hell expensive yet fun, Fremont street is old skool less expensive and just as fun.....And if your old enough you should check out this awesome strip club called Olympic Gardens AKA OG's...Its 20 bucks to get in....Supper clean an nice downstairs is where tastefull women stippers are and the you go up stairs and its all wild and crazy male strippers (mostly bachlorett parties go there)....

The best is the Riviera, for the money. Of course the Venetian is awesome, but quite costly. If you want down where all the action is, stay at Bally's. Mid priced and really nice...

My wife and I have tried several hotels during various Las Vegas stays, and I must say, the absolute best compromise of luxury and price is The Golden Nugget in the Fremont St. downtown area. It is the most luxurious and upscale of all the hotels in that section, and the price is about the same as one of the more average quality hotels on the strip.

It's the PERFECT wedding guest hotel for those on a moderate budget, because the place is very classy with romantic setting, the rooms are large and beds comfortable, service is outstanding, and the buffet right there in the place is very good. It is also centrally located in the section, so you can easily walk to any other part of downtown, including probably the best buffet deal you'll ever find in Vegas at Main St. Station. And you just have to step right outside the door to be in the middle of the Fremont St. experience. Oh, and did I mention the swimming pool with a fish tank right in the middle of it?

In addition, they have a great spa area (for each gender) and provide every supply and service you need to pamper yourself, including free fruit and health drinks, shaving and beauty supplies, steam areas, newspapers, bathrobes, a constant supply of clean fluffy towels, showers that spray eight jets of water all around you, and a lounge area with current magazines and newspapers for when you just want to relax after your treatment. They do charge $15 to use the place for a day, but it is well worth it.

And of course, on-site masseuses, hair stylists, barbers, and beauty consultants are there too, though of course you need to pay extra for such services.

Oh and not to worry about transportation...taxis are always available, not very expensive, and very efficient at taking you in the city wherever you need to go.

When we return for another vacation, that's where we will always plan on staying.

I, being a resident of Las Vegas, would suggest the Venetian. I think that it is one of the prettiest hotels in Vegas. You could spend a week looking at the artwork on the ceiling, they have gondola rides, which I think is rather romantic. This is my opinion though.
