The zoo in Amsterdam is the nicest I have seen abroad, and as far as the US goes the Baltimore Aquarium and Zoo are the cleanest and most appealing animal attractions I have ever seen. The rainforest exibit in the Baltimore Aquarium is amazing! |

My favorite zoo is the San Diego Zoo due to its size, layout and variety of animals. But I will admit that coming in a very, very close second is the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo in Colorado Spring, Colorado. It is much smaller and not as fancy, but it is set in the mountains and has a completely different atmosphere. Love them both! |

My fave is the San Diego Zoo. I grew up there (not in the zoo, but S.D.) and as a kid I hung out there every summer. My gf's dad was a doc with an office on Balboa park and we'd go there daily with him to work, then take a short walk to the zoo (free admission under 16 back then). So besides the many fond memories I have of that place, the zoo is immaculately clean and the animals are treated very well. |

The Columbus Zoo, home of Jack Hanna, is one of my favorites.
For very tiny but well kept, I'm a fan of the Erie Zoological Society in Erie, PA as well. 15 Acres but excellently cared for animals and nice exhibits. |

My favorite zoo is the Erie Zoo in Erie, Pennsylvania, for purely sentimental reasons. I grew up there and it was always a special outing when my mom would take me and my siblings to the zoo. It meant a picnic lunch, a chance to feed the elephants and we'd always spend lots of time in the petting zoo.
Erie might not have the most exotic and glamorous zoo in the world - but it is a huge part of my childhood memories. |
