We as Americans do send men money and materiel to Africa . We send tons of it as part of our tax dollars and we send tons of it privately and in all the time that we've been sending all of that stuff over there the situation hasn't changed at all . So maybe the solution isn't about money at all .Maybe the solution is not over throwing one despotic government and replacing it with another one.Maybe the solution is instituting a new age of benevolent colonialism so that the common people of Africa can live better lives .
Oh yeah and I do help those in need , i volunteer at American soup kitchens . |

I do not think it is wise to just give to those in need.
If a person is truly in need leave them with their dignity and show them how to help themselves.
Why give a man a fish when you can teach them to fish the seas on their own! |

I have a bad feeling each time an organization asks for monetary help. I just seem to feel that the people that need the help won't be getting it and the organization will use my money for more "programs" that benefit no one. |

Money, big time. If I had enough of it, I could continue my volunteer work and not have to work so much to feed the ones i love. |

Nothing stops me if I am moved to help a person in need. The only restraints I can think of would be money or time. I try to always help if it is within my power to do so. |

Nothing....but I do wish there was such a thing as a 48 hour day, never, never enough time to do as much as I should like to do. |

I do what you can for those in need. Most times I'm pretty needy myself, but if I have it to give. No problem. "Stops you from trying" does not belong in the sentence. Either you do or don't. It's just not in some people. It comes from within. |
