I have been to Orlando twice both times in the first two weeks of October and it is really hot in the high twenties sometimes reaching the thirties.

All you will need is shorts & tops and for night time dresses or skirts dont bother bringing any cardigans etc you wont need them, i recommend you bring some comfirtable shoes/trainers cause you are going to be doing alot of walking around the theme parks. All the shops restaurants & hotels etc have air conditioning.
Also remember this will be hurricane season so be prepared for that, if a hurricane does some you are inland so it isn't really that bad but you wont need anything cause there is a curfew and you are not allowed out. We were caught in a hurricane in October 2004 and it is a bit scary but not too bad.

Good luck with your wedding and you will have great time in Orlando for your honeymoon, loads and loads to see.

We went in October. It was like summer here. Even the rain was warm.

it will be mostly warm but bring a light sweater or jacket for the evening

That probably depends on you personally. I am from New England and October in Florida for me is like May here. So I am comfortable in shorts & tees. If you want to swim, do it during the day. I was there last September and when it got dark it was still comfortable, but we went in the pool and it was chilly afterward.

If you are from a climate that experiences a cold winter, you will be able to bring shorts. (pack one pair of pants and a light jacket or sweater just in case)

It will be warm. I've been in the middle of November, and even then it was hot. I don't remember a day I wasn't wearing a tank top and shorts. Just be sure to bring a light hoodie or sweater because the evenings will be cool. I'd pack mostly t-shirts and jeans, but also a few tank tops, and shorts or skirts.

Anyway, have fun, and congratulations!

Take a variety during the day it will be lovely and warm but with air conditioning it can be chilly so perhaps something a little warmer for indoors in the evening.

We are from the New England area so October down in WDW is like summer here. Even when it rains it is warm.

What we usually bring are light pants and shorts, tank tops and short sleeve shirts and a light rain parka. Where comfortable sneakers or shoes, even though it's your honeymoon your gonna do lots of walking. Sandals are good for water parks.

I agree with you, leave the extra luggage home.

I live here and October you can get away with short sleeve shirts and either shorts or jeans. There is always a Walmart if you need a long sleeve shirt but I tell you what as a resident I only own three. Congrats on the wedding

we've been to Florida a couple of times in October and it's a bit hit and miss.
It's warm compared to the UK. Definately warm enough to wear shorts and t-shirt but take a light jacket or cardi and a brolly (just in case)!!

I went once in October and it was warm and rainy. Take a plastic rain poncho and get a clear one or you will lose the person you are with. Everyone buys whatever Disney is selling and they are all the same color so from behind you can't tell people apart!

phoenixgirl21
jeans+ t shirts are ok more than likely shorts and a tank cuz october's pretty hot still. bring a poncho or buy one at the park.

Lennie
I went in December and was fine with jeans, tshirts and a couple of jumpers. Some times were quite warm and we swam in the outdoor pool, others were a lot colder. Still much warmer that the UK though

Take both pants and shorts...long sleeve and short sleeve shits...scandal and tennis because you can never tell...

I took my son to Disney World last October. I would just take shorts and t-shirts. It was pretty warm, especially during the afternoon. I would also take a light jacket and maybe a pair of jeans...just in case. I pretty much wore t-shirts and umbros the entire time and it was comfortable. Have fun and congrats!!!

Axel
If you do nothing else, make sure the shoes you're wearing are comfortable, because you'll be standing in them all day.
