As well as the ones you've already mentioned, there's SeaWorld and its new water park Aquatica. Disney also have 2 water parks which are worth a visit. In past experience, 2 weeks are usually enough for all the parks and to visit the other attractions the area has to offer. With regards to the age if the youngest child, there definitely is something for everyone at every park. Have a great time when you go! |

There is also a few decent size water parks, like Wet N Wild is a blast for everyone! |

Lets see... You've got:
Main Parks:
Disney World
Universal Studios
Islands of Adventure
Sea World
Minor Parks:
Holy Land Experience
Wet N Wild
Wonderworks
And the dozens of small disney-owned themeparks and attractions (blizzard beach, disney quest, pleasure island, wide world of sports, animal kingdom, etc, etc, etc) |
|

Indiana Jones

well out of the 4 disney parks i would only do 3.
magic kingdom
hollywood studios
epcot
*animal kingdim is childish.
both universal parks are good.
other great parks are:
-seaworld.
-busch gardens in tampa about 30-45 minutes away from orland
-cypress gardens in winter haven about 30 minutes away from orlando
and i would go for 10 days
8 days for all of the parks
2 days for the pool and shopping. |

All the parks cater to all age groups. The four major ones, if you stay at a resort on the property offer extra magic hours which is a real plus. You can't ride the rides unless you have the wristband during the magic hours. My favorite was Animal Kingdom. |

i've been to orlando a lot.
i would recommend a day or half a day at the parks.
and don't go to disney, go to epcot or something since there aren't any kids. and if you want to save money, go on a tour of some resorts. you take a tour, and they let you see the resort. they will ask yo to buy, but there is no pressure to buy. just tell them that timeshare isn't for you. at the end of the tour, they will give you free tickets to any 1 theme park of your choice.
but def. go to Universal, both sides.
Epcot
and there is a water park that is good, but don't remember its name. |

Major Parks:
Magic Kingdom
Epcot
Hollywood Studios
Animal Kingdom
Sea World
Universal Studios
Islands of Adventure
Busch Gardens (West on I-4 in Tampa)
*** These are parks that will easily take you all day to do
Major Water parks (there are more smaller ones):
Aquatica
Blizzard Beach
Typhoon Lagoon
Wet and Wild
Adventure Island (next to Busch Gardens)
There are a number of smaller theme parks that I won't be able to remember, but a few are:
Fantasy of flight (east of Orlando)
Cypress Gardens
Discovery Cove |

I would do Islands of Adventure, lots of roller coasters....which is awesome!!! Epcot Center is freaking awesome, too.
You can travel around the world w/o needing a passport. Not that many rides, but its a cultural experience and get to try all sorts of food.
Disney World since its just the Magical Place in the World (ok maybe not, but its tradition).
Then Sea World. Get to see animals and also experience some really cool roller coasters. So its a little bit of everything.
I would think 5-7 days would be perfect. For the kids they have the Discovery Cove where you can swim with the Dolphins.
Theres Wet N' Wild for water rides as well as another Typhoon Lagoon. You can take a day over to Cape Canaveral if you're into the whole space thing, they got a new ride that simulates a space shuttle launch, and you're close to Coco Beach and check out the Atlantic.
You can go to Downtown Disney, if you have boys, they have a 3 or 4 story building filled with arcade games, virtual reality, and can even make your own rollercoaster and ride a simulator which really makes you feel like you're on one. They have a wing of all old school arcade games like Pac Man and Pong.
Theres Cirque De Soliel, which I read is one of the best shows they have, but the tickets are about $70/person.
So there are a few things you can do when over there. Its a great time to be had by everyone, young and old.
Busch Gardens is about 1.5-2hr ride depending on traffic from Orlando. Granted, if you have the time and want to make the trip, its an awesome park. I go at least twice a year b/c I live in the Tampa Area and I can go there for free. Has it all, roller coasters, water rides, animals, shows, hands on activities for the kids, restaurants and carnie type games!
And right across the street is Adventure Island. But that you would need a day for each park, b/c the lines will take up a good part of the day.
Enjoy your trip to Florida! |

ok there are the four main disney parks as you say, but Disney also has 2 water parks, and then there is Wet 'n' WIld and newly opened Aquatica. There is also Sea World its a theme park with Sea life added in. Then if you want to travel a bit there is Busch Gardens.
I have to say being 24 i love all the parks at Disney and the same goes for my fiance and he is older. We have so much fun, there is loads to do in all the parks for everyone. Dont stay in Orlando for any less than two weeks, as you will not enjoy your experience. Spend one day in each park, and make sure you check out the night time shows, these are awesome you will never see firework shows like it in your life. Make sure you make use of the fast passes in the parks and going to Universal buy the express pass as the queues can get really manic. |

Busch Gardens,Sea World, Universal Studios/Islands Of Adventure are great choices. Disney World is a good choice. They have some more adult attractions.Magic Kingdom is a great one to visit. I don't know if I could recommend Epcot, because a lot of people find it boring. However, I find it nice because I'm not big on rides because i get scared of heights and adrenaline. They don't have many rides. I've never been to Animal Kingdom or Hollywood studios, but you may want to look at the website to give you a perception of what it's like. As for Universal and Islands Of Adventure. I've never been inside Universal, but someone told me it's more adult and boring. I don't know for a fact but I believe Islands of Adventure my be better since you have a young teen. Seaworld and Busch Gardens are great because it's not just attractions. I'd stay at the parks no more than 10 hours. You might get tired before then, but wear some very comfy shoes of couse. I hope I helped. Have fun! |

If your family is looking for some cool stuff to do check out Gatorland, go to downtown orlando and walk around and check out the great town! Also goto Old Town on thursday nights and check out the bike show. You may even see a old hippie with a birdsnest beard on a bike. For more great attractions and free printable orlando discount coupons check out the site below. Hope this helps you out. Remember there is a lot to do that will not cost you a lot! |

Epcot center will be a nice place to visit. It's various country settings will be something every age group will have something to enjoy and learn without actually going to those countries or as an introduction to those regions.

...the other parks are "weak". Disney has the best water parks. Sea World just opened a new water park, but Sea World itself is boring. Busch Gardens in Tampa is worth a trip for a day if you like coasters. ...it's about an hour and 1/2 ride from Orlando. I live in the Orlando area and have seen them all multiple times...some too many times. Wet and Wild has got to be 20 years old...and it looks like it compared to the Disney water parks. |
