One night in Vegas...I don't know how old you are (will reflect things to do) and/or your hobbies...but this is what I would do...btw I'm 24, and i'm a mild partier, but I do like more elegant chill life as well...so you can decide what my answer is worth to you.
- Eat dinner somewhere nice...Vegas has plenty of restaurants. I really like steak and would recommend Delmonica, The Steakhouse @ Circus Circus (it's really a hidden gem..and dont let the location fool you)..or eat outside at Mon Ami Gabi and face the Bellagio Fountains
- Watch the Bellagio fountain show
- Walk the strip, and take many pictures..for sure of Bellagio, MGM, The Wynn, Venetian, Ceasars Palace, and the Mirage...those are the main casinos IMO dead center strip.
- Gamble (of course).
- Now for entertainment...watch a show..I highly recommend O in Bellagio, Ka at MGM, or Mystere at Treasure Island over any of the other cirque du solei or shows...or heck if there is an event going on watch that (I'll be watching UFC 84 at the MGM this weekend..the police will be performing Friday).
- Walk the strip drinking a gigantic Eiffel Tower Strawberry Daquiri (you can buy one outside the Paris hotel)...
- Lastly...hang out at a lounge..smoke a cigar...and/or..go to a club..meet some ladies (or take your girl)..do some dancing...if you can afford a table definitely go that direction.
Have Fun!

Old Dawg
 |
Plan on returning home the next day...
Reason:
Old Dawg Is A Poor Dawg...
If i needed to find away to give my money away...
I'll just give it to my son who's trying to finish up college this year.
O.D.
Another:
Is there's nothing there that I want or need that I can't find here at home and enjoy with my wife and son... |

Vegas is trash. I got married there once, and it was a big mistake. So, you could get married, but I do NOT suggest it. |

If you do it right, you really only remember the first night anyway. |

I'm not interested in the seedier side. I would want to see the Cirque du Soleil show(s), the Beatles-inspired one and the water one (I think that's Vegas?) particularly. The Blue Man Group show is neat, but saw them in New York, I doubt the Vegas show is much different, and likely the same times as Cirque du Soleil. I'd find some nice restaraunt, and allot myself maybe $20 to lose in the slot machines or something just so I could say I gambled in Vegas. Probably people-watch a good bit too. |

I would not need a room because I would see a great show, Cirque, and have a fantastic buffet dinner, then gamble until I had to go back to the a irport |

Go see the Bellagio Fountains and then go to a David Copperfield show. There's tons you can do on the strip in a short amount of time. |

Take a trip to the Hoover Dam - 45 min each way - there are a couple casinos on the way. It is one of the great man made wonders of the world - IMPRESSIVE!!! And if that isnt your cup of tea - there are whore houses, strip clubs Circ de Sole (spelling) and of course gambling. Have fun! |

I'd try to walk as much of the strip as I could and visit as many of the casino/hotels as I could, lots have free stuff to look at in them and stop at the bars and get a drink (you can carry your beverage with you outside the casinos). I'd try to do a little gambling too. |

I'd check out the main street first and take some pictures, then I'd see a show, have a nice dinner, and finally I'd gamble. |

I would do the free stuff you can just see without worrying about a schedule. The volcano at Mirage, the pirate ship show at TI, stroll through Forum Shops, see the fountains at Bellagio, watch the gondolas float by at Venetian. Then I'd cap it all of at Vegas' best restaurant (in my opinion), The Peppermill, a 24-hour coffee shop that hasn't changed in 30 years. Great spirit, attitude and AWESOME food. |
