Better weather and less garbage and urine in the streets. Beaches you can visit all year round, sunsets over the ocean, and residences that are horizontal and not verticle.

The Kodak, Disney Concert Hall, The Greek, The Ampitheter. And NO VENUE is as nice as the Hollywood Bowl!

In April you can ski and go to the beach in the same day!

There is plenty of culture here. Plenty of amazing museums including the Getty! You just have to be willing to do it.

I love New York City, but I will never want to give up the kind of lifestyle I enjoy in L.A... Sunny weather, a house with a huge back garden, barbecueing out back on the weekends. having a lawn with lots of trees, opening the door to let my dog run outside in the morning, having a car without the hassle of where to park it. You'd have to be quite wealthy to live close to that in Manhattan.

i've visited both LA and NYC and i think that NYC takes it by far! there is so much more culture and art than i ever saw in LA. both have really nice people to look at, although if i was offered one ticket to either LA or NYC, i'd take new york...thanks! that's my opinion

To different to compare... Depends on what you are looking for. LA has the beach, NY has the snow. LA has a variety of areas, lots of places to go from Hollywood toOrange County. NY is more of a walking city, all cramed into one place. I vote LA, I hate the snow and the garbage and smoke.

ive been to NYC and i hated it. it just doesnt suit me.. im sure its a great city if youre into that stuff. but im more of a sunny beach kinda person. i looooove LA!
