My personal favorites are the Liberty Tree Tavern at the Magic Kingdom (the New England Pot Roast is exquisite) and the 50's Prime Time Cafe in Disney's Hollywood Studios. But here are a few recommendations in the parks and resorts..
Magic Kingdom:
Liberty Tree Tavern
Starlight Cafe (quick service)
Cinderella's Royal Table (it's inside Cinderella Castle!)
Crystal Palace (character dining and buffet)
Disney's Hollywood Studios:
50's Prime Time Cafe (they treat you like family.. literally! It's a very fun restaurant and the food is great)
Sci-Fi Dine-In (it feels like you're really at an old drive-in movie theater)
Brown Derby
EPCOT:
Electric Umbrella (quick service)
Biergarten (all-you-can-eat buffet in Germany)
Teppan Edo (sit-down restaurant in Japan where the chefs cook directly at your table)
Coral Reef Restaurant (your table overlooks the aquarium at The Seas with Nemo and Friends)
Animal Kingdom:
Rainforest Cafe
Yak & Yeti Restaurant
Restaurantosaurus (quick service)
Downtown Disney:
Wolfgang Puck
Wolfgang Puck Express (all your favorite Wolfgang Puck specialties but set up as a quick service restaurant--no need for a waiter)
T-Rex (Rainforest Cafe but with dinosaurs
Earl of Sandwich (the best sandwiches around--quick service)
Planet Hollywood
Rainforest Cafe
Resorts:
Flying Fish (Boardwalk)
ESPN Club (Boardwalk)
Chef Mickey's (Contemporary--the best breakfast foods I've ever had. It's a breakfast buffet with character dining)
California Grill (Contemporary--also has the best view of the Magic Kingdom's nighttime fireworks show, Wishes)
Boma (Animal Kingdom Lodge)
Atlantic Dance Hall (Boardwalk--must be 21 years or older)
Victoria and Albert's (Grand Floridian--on the more expensive side)
Blizzard Beach and Typhoon have many restaurants, but they're all quick service. Quick service restaurants don't require reservations.
All parks contain quick service restaurants, as well as scattered refreshment stands. I recommend making reservations for ever night you're staying. Just in case you decide to eat at a nice place, you have that option. If you don't want to go to your reservation, you don't have to show up. I wouldn't recommend lunch reservations because, personally, I'm so caught up in the parks during the day and having a restaurant obligation at mid-day is very frustrating. You have to plan everything around it and it turns into this big thing. I usually forget about lunch anyways--I grab some quick service food and I'm fine until dinner.
Hope this helps and have fun! |

I appreciate the other answers here that these ladies have many favorites, so do I. But you did not ask for multiple answers, so I'll give you just one:
Kona Cafe at the Polynesian Resort
Breakfast has this delicious Tonga Toast, which is french toast style-wise with a banana-type filling that is just decadent. Their lunches and dinners are delicious, and they have some of the best desserts in all of Disney World.
I'm surprised by this, but I have been to this restaurant at least a dozen times, and I have never needed a reservation. |

I love<3 beaches and cream. There's almost always a wait because it's such a small place. They have one dessert that has seven different flavors of ice cream, cake, every topping, candy bars, and an entire can of whip cream all thrown together called "The Kitchen Sink". Yummmmm:) I also really like to eat at Cinderella's Castle but of course there's always a wait so get reservations early. The food is great and the atmosphere is AMAZING. |

The River Grill at Disney Boardwalk, no reservations needed you just have to be willing to wait for up to an hour but they have their own brewery and outdoor seating on the boardwalk.
hope this helps
PS: the Italy restaurant at epcot is fantastic you will need reservations it is very pricey though |

At Epcot: Nine Dragons at the China Pavillion is our all time favorite. The lunch menu is pretty cheap, and most dinner entrees are under $17. If you plan it right and get the rights table near the window, it is also a pretty sweet spot to watch the fireworks/light show while eating. I have had annual passes since 1983 when I was just a kid, and still visit often. Also, away from the park and available to anyone, the Whispering Canyon Café at the Wilderness Lodge Hotel is a great dining event. The food is barbque ribs and the like, and is all you can eat for around $20. The cornbread at this place is the best I have had anywhere in the south! |

Mine was outside Disney World. I should say that the location is about 15-20 mins drive. I think the place was called Medieval. This place have a dinner and show.
The show was awesome and the stallions were such of magnifiscent beauty!
The atmosphere is like in the medieval times where you can chant for your favorite horseman or the fighter for that matter. |

Disney doesn't take reservations, but priority seating which can't be booked any earlier than 90 days prior.
Restaurants I absolutely WOULD NOT miss are:
Prime Time Cafe at Hollywood Studios - My favorites are Mom'a Meatloaf and the Prime Rib, and the environment is awesome.
Boma: Flavors of Africa at the Animal Kingdom Lodge - This is a buffet that has food you have never heard of before, but once you try it, you will never forget it! This is a good thing. Lamb Potje (like a beef stew) and Zebra Domes (dessert) are my favorites, but the selection is HUGE.
Everywhere else I've eaten has been pretty good.
If you can afford a dinner show, don't miss the Spirit of Aloha Luau. The food there is so very yummy.
Here are some places I don't think are worth the hype:
Hollywood and Vine
Sci Fi Dine-In Theater
Chef Mickeys
T-Rex Cafe
Rainforest Cafe
Yak and Yeti
Don't get me wrong, they're still delicious food and great scenery, but if I had to spend my money on a nice dinner, I'd go to one of the many other restaurants Disney has to offer. |
