The least busiest times of the year are around Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays because most people spend that time with family.
During the week, the least busy days are Sunday to Thursday with weekends busy and 3 day weekends very busy. This is not true if there is a convention in town. When conventions are in town and especially when conventions overlap, Vegas can get really busy.
This website has a convention schedule with a graph that shows how high convention attendance will be during the month. They adjust the days for when conventions and sporting events overlap each other. |

Las Vegas is always busy, BUT the times it's less busy.
1) Weekdays (Sunday-Wednesday), Thursday it'll pick up, friday a bit more, and saturday will be the most busy..then the crowds are pretty much gone by sunday afternoon.
2) The first two weeks of Christmas (that time period tends to be light travel as everyone is saving vacation for Christmas time and/or just got back from Thanksgiving travel).
3) Summertime like July-August in Vegas is still busy, but because it's blazing hot in Vegas and most places have more desireable weather...the crowds in Vegas will be slightly less.
4) Avoid holiday weekends in Vegas.

It is almost always busy in LV, but go during the week if you can. If you don't like the crowds, there are incredibly luxurious private homes for rent for less than hotels if you have more people in your group. Check out chezpaulina dot com for that. |

The least busiest time to visit LV is late September through April. Afterward, it becomes very busy as people start taking their vacations, etc. |
