Anytime is brilliant but I like early June or September. It is not too hot and as you will be doing loads of walking it is a very pleasant temperature. The subways do get very very hot so make sure you layer your clothes so you can put them on and take them off, also the air con can be very harsh especially in shops and restaurants! |

I prefer September you can't beat a boat ride out to the Statue on a sunny day better still the Statan Island Ferry you don't have to pay for that it's free |

it is great to visit at any time but when the snow is around it completely changes, Central Park is awesome in winter and sometimes the whole traffic grinds to a halt with the snow and the city for once is quiet (but very cold) |

1. may when the tony awards are given. so many celebrity's in town, the weather is great and just a plain great time to go.
2. December because of the Holiday decorations. a wonderful cheerful and romantic time of the year. it gets you in the holiday spirit. it will be cold but well worth it. go the first week of December so any presents bought could be shipped to your home before the holidays.
3. last of September and/or early October because of the nice weather and the fall season. |

Money dictates! It depends, do you prefer warm summers, fall, cold winters (snow)? Anytime is good. |

Although it's freezing, Halloween, Thanksgiving or Christmas. It;s magical but very cold. Wrap up. Don't just do the shops, Grand Central Station, The Chrysler Building, Empire State, Central Park and The Circle Line Ferry are all worth it. |

I agree that Thanksgiving and Christmas are gorgeous but absoltutey freezing. My preference it to go in April, the cold weather has gone and it is just nice for walking around. |
