Usually the more white residents, and the more expensive.

Cities along the coast, from Santa Babara to North San Diego

Cities near mountains, such as near Santa Monica mountains and foothill of San Gabriel mountains.

Except Northern California, and Sierra Neveda area, it is pretty hard to find white majority, white has reduced from 80% in 1980 to 43% in 2007, and Children under 5 years old is 24%, many schools in SoCal are without one white kids.That is part of reasons some families moving out.

Down here, we celebrate diversity. It's what makes LA great. They even let non-whites vote now.

There are plenty of cities that describe what you are looking for. Try Mission Viejo, Irvine, Lake Forest 3 of the safest cities in the USA, and all over 70% white. Dont buy the diversity population argument from the other posters, LA is one of the most racially segregated cities I have ever lived in, and if you are white, and want to live in a white neighborhood, you are ridiculously labeled a racist. Whearas its fine for someone who is hispanic, black or asian to want to live in a neighborhood where they are a majority. But those three cities have what you are looking for.

Claremont is home to several Universities. Claremont, Harvey Mudd, Scripps, etc. It is a nice place to live. Upper middle/Lower upper class city.
Fontana has a chapter of the Klu Klux Klan. It has lots of skinheads.

Beverly Hills, Simi Valley, Thousand Oaks. If you go into Orange County, try Newport or Laguna Beach. Northern California has more of what your looking for.

I'm white and I live in Irvine, which is one of the safest cities (and we're all pretty well off, if I may say so). However, we live here because it's a beautiful area and we can afford to do so, not because other whites live here. And if you're going to have that kind of racist attitude where you assume that white = safe then don't even try looking for a home here. We don't care for "your kind."

Kris, you're just as ignorant as the OP. Are you saying that a wealthy black person like Denzel Washington would purposely move to a black ghetto just because he'd have black neighbors? Financial status determines for the most part where you live, not skin color. I'd rather live in an upper class, predominately black city like Clinton, MD, (median income for a family: $75,036) than a poverty stricken, predominately white area like Martin County in KY ( median income for a family: $21,574).

parts of baldwin hills, ladera hts, and culver city are very nice and safe and black people who are middle/upper class live there just fine.
