Fly to Hawaii and stay in a cheap hotel. You don't need a very nice hotel because you won't spend much time in it, and you don't need to pay for gas.

go to Savannah GA ive been there a few times and i love it... old fashiond town...and if you go a few miles out to Tybee Island there is a beach :D

My suggestion would be fly to the island of Oahu, Hi. I have been there six times. You do not need to rent a vehicle to get around. Buy a four day Discovery Bus Pass at ABC store for $20.00, and you can get on and off any of the TheBus busses during those four days. It really saves you money to do that.
Hike Diamond Head, learn to surf from the beach boys, buy your lunch and eat at the picnic tables on the beach!! Plenty to do at reasonable prices!

Have you thought of the Great Smoky Mountains. There is a ton there to do for adults and for children and the scenery is breathtaking. You have Dollywood, Ripley's Aquarium, Shopping, Hiking, Dinner Shows, Sight seeing, my list could go on. Whether driving or flying I highly recommend looking at southern WV.

It is quickly becoming the outdoor mecca of the east if you are outdoor loving folks(which by looking where you have been in the past makes me think you are).

Whether it's boating(rafting,canoing,motorboating), climbing, biking,hiking,fishing, or just kicking back and taking in the views WV has it all and for more than 75% of the US population it's less than a day's drive and it's more affordable than most destination area's.

Now I have to say I partial to the area(being I was born and raised here, and have spent over 15 of my 33 years working for the ski resorts and river companies) and that's it's not for
everybody. But if you are into the outdoors and want to be able to enjoy an outdoor recreational vacation without the overpriced gouging(just because of the names involved) you have to check it out. It isn't Alaska or Colorado, it's West"BY GOD" Virginia.It's Gods country with out the Brand Names.

Whether you want backcountry or 5 star(spoil your butt rotten)experience's it's a place like no other and respected(by those who know)all.

Not sure where you're from, but North Carolina has great mountains in the West and great beaches in the East with lighthouses and lots of outcropping-type land formations. The middle (Piedmont) has Charlotte with great night life, Carowinds theme park, etc. There's lots of Civil war history as well.

I loved Montana, it is beautiful,,,,,,I went to a place called Missoula,it was not crowded, colleg is there so there are some really fun, inexpensive bars, not very rowdy but fun,its beautiful country and not too much $........I loved it and can't wait to go back someday......have fun wherever you go, I think Montana gets over looked sometimes.....maybe you will get to see it someday.......(the river that runs through the beautiful campus is the one from A river runs through it....(the movie) if you want a sneak preview!!!!

Jackson Hole, Wyoming!!! In my opinion, the best place in the U.S. for a vacation.
