For me it depends on what I am planning to do. For a vacation full of lots of fun things to do, it would definitely be Disney. Depending on what I am in the mood for would determine which Disney. But any Disney park is great, so it really doesn't matter. I travel to Disney a lot, so this is likely to be one of my favorite places to vacation.

If I am in the mood to relax and have a great time, while being treated like Royalty ;-) than it would be a cruise. The destination isn't as important to me, just along as I can cruise. Cruises are probably in a tie with Disney, great vacation and nothing like it. But they are kind of the complete opposite as Disney. With Disney you go from sun-up to sun-down. With a cruise you just sit back and relax, but you eat from sun-up to sun-down ;-)

If I am in the mood for some nice cold weather, beautiful landscapes and wildlife, than it is definitely Alaska. A cruise to Alaska would work just fine as well. Alaska is one of my top places to visit, the top in the U.S. It is just beautiful and very relaxing.

If I am in the mood for a little bit longer trip and sightseeing, than it would be something like Asia or Egypt, or any place far, far, away.

But really, the best vacation is where ever you like to go and what makes you happy. It doesn't always have to be that far from home.

If I were you I would take a cruise or something. Depending on your age and budget you could do Carnival for a younger crowd with lower costs, Royal Caribbean for young-to middle ages with a mid-size budget and lines like Oceania for an older crowd with bigger budgets. You can pretty much go anywhere on a cruise, so it makes it easier to decide.

Hope this helps!

WOW, what a general question, especially NOT knowing where you are from or even if you are a guy or a gal. Ok, let's try to break it down a little, anyway:

The Best Place is always where your heart desires (whether you can afford it or not is a different story). Listen to your heart and it will tell you were it would like to go - just follow "it".

Aside from that:

If you are short on cash ---> Try exploring places near where you live. You'll be surprised how much there is yet to discover.

If you have money to burn, try the following:

If you like colder places ---> Try Alaska, Colorado or Canada

If you like the sun and the beach ---> Try Florida, California or Hawaii (USA) otherwise Mexico, Brazil, Bahamas, Greek or Turkish Isles or the French Polynesia (International)

Also since you mentioned the word "vacation" I am "assuming" you are NOT looking for any Adventure (i.e. exotic) type destinations and activities. Having said that, Disney World (Orlando) would be a great option too (w/ or w/o the kids) for a pretend adventure vacation.

If you are into gambling ---> Las Vegas or Monte Carlo

If you are into Relaxing in luxury ---> The very best Hotel or All-Inclusive Resort you can possibly afford

If you are into Cruises ---> Get on any 100-ton+ ship you can afford

If you are into Nature ---> Join the Green Peace [:-)] just kidding. Try the national park packages (way too many to list here)

If you are into incredible Natural sites ---> The Grand Canyon is your absolute best option

If you are into incredible man-made sites ---> Try the Great Wall of China or the Pyramids of Egypt

If you are into a totally Good-Crazy place: Try New York or Tokyo

If you are into fishing and hunting ---> Don’t waste your vacation on that

If you are into swimming with Great White Sharks ---> California or Australia

If you are into Big Time Drinking (and I would not recommend it) ---> Ireland

If you are into radical sports ---> New Zeeland is your destination

If you are into looking for pretty babes (sorry cannot help you in the guy department) ---> Try Miami, LA, Houston (USA), Holland, Germany, Estonia, Romania, Japan, Jordan, Brazil, Argentina, …. [Actually the list is endless :-)]

If you are into eating and partying with class at any cost: Call Anthony Bourdain (http://www.anthonybourdain.com/) and ask for suggestions. The guy knows his food and where exactly to find it.

I hope that was helpful.
