The Empire State Building is at the corner of 34th Street and Fifth Avenue in lower Midtown Manhattan.

The closest tourist attractions are Herald Square and Macy's, which is at 34th and Broadway. Lord and Taylors is four blocks north on Fifth Avenue. Madison Square Garden is about four blocks west of the Empire State Building. |

Not much worth seeing around the empire state building.
If you are NOT afraid of heights, go the top of the Empire State buiding for a great view.
You can take a lovely boat tour around our lovely little island.
Walk through Central Park - during the day - but be careful. Don't be caught their at night.
On the west side of Manhattan, go to Lincoln Center and walk around, the Opera is there, as well as a theater. |
