Very intresting question. I don't think there is necessarily a single best place to live for everyone. If there were, I think we would all live in the same place!
If you're looking for year round weather that is not too hot or too cold, you could try San Diego, California. If you're a ski bum, you could try Park City, Utah or Vail, Colorado. If you like rain, Seattle. Sunny beaches you thing? Try Florida. If you like corn fields, Iowa or Nebraska. Like it hot? Try Phoenix Arizona. Like being around a lot of other people and where all the action is? New York City.
It really depends what you're looking for. Do you want a safe and secure suburb to raise a family in? Lots of outdoor sports and recreational activities nearby? Beaches, mountains, desert, forrest, farmland, hills? How about cost of living? Job opportunities? There are so many different factors, the best place to live depends on what you like and what you're looking for. Once you define that, you can narrow down the list and find the best place for you and your family.
The links I list under resources can help give you some ideas. Good luck finding the best place to live for you! |

Salt Lake City because that is where the Church of Latter Day Saints is headquartered and there is plenty of great skiing in the winter. |

All the worlds cultures are here and there's tons of stuff to do or within a stone's throw.

Just outside NYC. that way you have the city, the ocean, and the country close to you. My favorite places that I've been are Princeton, NJ (Lots of stuff to do with lots of trees- a college town.), Brooklin, ME (Close to "Civilazation", but compleatly rural and on the ocean.), and Ewing/Lawrenceville, NJ (in between rural Hopewell, Princeton, and Trenton). |

For me it has been Hawaii and I've lived here on 3 of the Islands over the past 40 years that I've been here.
It's always great to come home to Hawaii from where ever I have been as well.
Weather, Driving, bus (rated "BEST in The USA", on 2 occassions in the past 10 years), employment for me with a good standard of wage income, Beaches, surf, Fishing, Awwww heck, Just try it for 20 years or so, if you still don't like it after that, then just go some where else you might like better....
Aloha Oi and God Bless

It all depends on what you like to do and what type of weather you prefer. Everyone is different and have their own personal choices. Why don't' you tell us what you like. |
