First, when you look for a hotel in Vegas consider this. All of the big hotels on the Strip are great. The most important things to consider are location, price, and in the summer you want to consider its pool area. So, stay on the strip in the center of all of the hotel locations so that you can walk to see all of the hotels and casinos, and all of the free attractions. The best place to stay to do that is in one of the hotels on or nearest to Flamingo Rd & the Strip. At that corner is Ceasers, Bellagio, the Flamingo, Ballys, and the Paris hotels. I am not saying you need to stay in one of these but stay close to them. I do recommend the Flamingo if you are looking for a good price, location and pool.

The next thing to consider in picking the BEST place is price. Rates go down in the summer (and again after Thanksgiving, until about mid-January (except new years eve when prices double)). So pick a place that has the best price for you. Ceasers and Bellagio will cost top dollar all of the time (like $150 and up) per night during the summer. Flamingo, Ballys and some others you can get into for around $100 (but most times for less) during the low seasons. Its also more expensive in all Vegas hotels on Friday and Saturday nights by $40 to $60 more, so to get a lower rate go Sunday and stay through Thursday night.

In the summer you probably want to spend some time at the pool areas which in Vegas are fabulous. All of the big hotels have great pool areas. But the Mandalay Bay, Monte Carlo and MGM hotels have wave pools, and lazy rivers for tubing or body floating. The Flamingo has a water slide (not big but nice and refreshing) and also a water fall.

I have stayed at Mandalay Bay, Excalibur, MGM, Monte Carlo, Bellagio, Ceasers, the Rio, the Flamingo, Ballys, and Harrahs. But the BEST place for me when I go is who has the best price. Again, all of the Strip hotels are great. So shop the web sites, look at the hotel rate calendars, and go when the price is the lowest. That's the best place to stay on the Strip.

For your Honeymoon I would recommend Ceasers. Their new tower rooms are great. The one we had was huge with a sofa and chair and a king bed. The bathroom was also huge and included a large jacuzzi tub. Be sure to tell them whenyou get there that you are on a honeymoon and they just may upgrade you some more.

For a romatic dinner, make a reservation at the Stratisphere's Tower restaurant. Its up 500 feet over Vegas and offer a graet view as it rotates. Make your reservation for about 8:00PM so it will be dark and you can see all of the lights.

Go big or go home - Stay with the fountains, right across from Paris...the Bellagio is the only way to go! May be a little pricier, but a honeymoon is a once in a life-time thing...I know i wished i could have stayed there

Wow.....soo many places to choose from!! The Venecian....great place for a honeymoon. Also, the Bellagio. Be sure to check out the fountains in front of the Bellagio. They go off every half hour on the hour....what an amazing show.

If you want a really memorable honeymoon, make sure you go skydiving at Boulder City airport. I did. It was awesome! They'll even pick you up and return you to the strip.

As far as staying someplace on the strip, I would suggest anyplace that owns more than one casino....you'll have free shuttle service to them and get comp'd really well.

As a Vegas resident, please take this heart. The Mirage is a very romantic and fun place to stay. It is mid-Las Vegas Strip and you can walk to various other sites of romaticism within minutes. The Mirage has a man-made volcano, the Venetian has a gondola ride that takes you through the building and outside the front, the Paris gives you the opportunity to go up into the tower, and the Bellagio has an outside watershow set to music.

I just gor back from there. I stayed at the Las Vegas Hilto which was nice and clean. But, it was off the strip ( one block away ) so it was quiet. There is a monorail which will take you up and down the strip and you get it from the Hilton too. Whatever you do don't stay at the one that looks like a castle. It was horrid. I might add, PLEASE go and don't miss the " BLUE GROUP".. iT WAS THE MOST FANTASTIC SHOW i EVER SAW. tHE TICKETS ARE AROUND $125.00 BUT, IT IS WELL WORTH IT. iN FACT YOU CAN ORDER THE TICKETS ONLINE NOW TO ENSURE YOU GET GOOD SEATS.

Luxor! We honeymooned there and we had a great view - so breathtaking. The jacuzzi is next to the window so you can see out, but people can't see you.

The elevator from the hotel lobby to our room is so awesome - it doesn't go straight up because of pyramid structure. They have the 3d attraction ride, which is cool. We saw The Blue Mans show and it was so hilarous and fun! You don't need a car rental because the monorail is right by our hotel and we hopped on it and visited everywhere on the strip.

A two-story arcade -- Games of the Gods -- and a perfect replica of Howard Carter's famous discovery in 1922 -- The Tomb and Museum of King Tutankhamun -- also are open to the public. In one of Vegas' better motion simulators, In Search of the Obelisk follow an expedition crew in its race against the evil Dr. Osiris for the coveted crystal obelisk. Additional motion rides offer non-Egyptian themed adventures. And the Luxor IMAX shows a variety of films in the larger-than-life format, while Pirates 4D takes the experience one step further with multi-sensory special effects.

Also, you can check out the Mandalay Bay - they got the greatest 11-acre sand-and-surf beach with a wave pool! They also have a really nice honeymoon suite.

Paris is a great place to stay. They usually have decent rates and it's right in the middle of the strip across from Bellagio. If you get a room facing the Eiffel Tower you can also see the fountain show at Bellagio from your room--pretty neat. The casino inside Paris is pretty small, but neat too. They also have great restaurants; Mon Ami Gabi, Eiffel Tower Restaurant and LesArtists Steakhouse. They also have a fabulous buffet--I think it's the best on the strip.
Have fun!

The Bellagio or Venetian are probably the most romantic places to stay. They are both surrounded by other casinos and activities, so you can go anywhere.

Batmen
Honeymoon- Bellagio, Venetian, Wynnes.
For Fun- Hard Rock, Mengetlaid Bay
For shows- MGM
For the total package? Stay at one of these fine establishments and walk or cab it to any of these places. From the looks of it, I would go with one of the first two.
A great buffet? Seafood at Rio. Bellagio for overall buffet

Treasure island is fun, and not too expensive. Look for package deals from you local air carrier, like southwester. They have packages like air fare for 2 rental car and hotel for 2 nights 3 days for a very good price. For certain, stay away from the Stratosphere Tower Hotel.

The Venetian is the place with the Italian theme and they have real rivers and gondola rides in the hotel. Also really really expensive shops. It is an all suite hotel and is right in the center-strip prime location...big money to stay there.

Bellaggio is another nice one right in center strip. If you want relaxation and plan on renting a car, Green Valley Ranch is a great resort off-strip.

I have never stayed at these places, but have been to Vegas 3 times in the past 4 years and have at least visited each of them.

A GREAT Vegas website that is really informative and up to date is. www.vegas4visitors.com Lots of unbiased reviews of the hotels, casinos, and restaurants.

If you like Food TV and the chef Bobby Flay, check out Mesa Grill in Cesear's Palace...it is an excellent restuarant..Bobby's restaurant.

I had my wedding at Treasure Island, it was very nice. Watch which week you pick in April, they have the Hooter's convention then and the Adult Film Convention in April too....I went the last week in April and it wasn't too packed

excalaber is inexspensive, and beautiful at night (looks like a castle in disney land). Its also at the begining of the strip. The bellagio is the higest class and priced hotel there. I also stayed at the tropicana. It was also nice if you get a delux room, and its inexspensive also. They have a beautiful landscaped hot tub/pool area. And when your booking your package try travelworm.com
