Panama City Beach, the Holiday Inn, right down the street from the Hooters. right around $100 a night. sneak extra peeps in and defray your costs. I got ridiculous there 3 years ago and passed out in the hot tub and we also rented a jet ski for a day for around $75. good times!

Cool, you can do Clearwater anytime. For spring Break go to Panama City, soft white sand, not crushed shell.
Here's the rundown;

Ft. Lauderdale is starting to make a comeback as the more sensible party place.

Beach Place has like 6 bars in one building, and of course the beach is right there! It is a lot of fun, elbow room is always happening.

As for a hotel, if you want to save some money, and don;t mind being a little further away from the water, try

http://www.ftlauderdalepalace.com/restaurant.htm

it's not really upscale, but who cares? You can catch public transport to the hot spots, and it only takes a few minutes...besides, if you want to drink, you might aw well do the taxi cab thing, why mess with a DUI, right? And there wont be anywhere to park at all, so a rental car is a bad thing.

Miami's South Beach will be way bigger party, with more places to go, more clubs, but it is much more expensive...

So for the big party, hit Miami, to save some cash, and still have a great time, Try Ft. Lauderdale Beach.

You also might want to check out the Gulf Coast, there are some party spots on the other side too.

Good Luck!

Panama City in the Panhandle of Florida has emerged as the top Spring Break destination with an estimated half million college students taking a break from school and cold weather.

Daytona Beach (pictured) and Miami Beach's South Beach also remain popular destinations.

Panama City is on the Gulf of Mexico and boasts 27 miles of white sand beaches, emerald green water, super clubs, miles of restaurants and shops. Considering its Northern Florida location, Panama City cuts off hours of drive time that makes it the closest spring break destination. The downside to this is that the weather can be unpredictable.

Panama City Beach is a popular site on MTV spring break programs because it offers the best beaches and the biggest and best spring break clubs such as Spinnakers and Club La Vela.

Daytona Beach is on the Atlantic Ocean and is famous for being the original Spring Break destination. There are 23 miles of wide clean beaches, a great surf and hotel rooms with a view.

During the day, the beach is one big parking lot. Cars are allowed to drive on the beach and many cruise up and down looking to see and be seen. Alcohol isn't legally allowed on the beach, but there are plenty of beach bars and hotel pool decks that are beachfront.

At night the action shifts from the beach behind the hotels to the strip in front of the hotels. The main strip is Atlantic Avenue. Daytona Beach features world class nightclubs such as 600 North, Razzles, the Ocean Deck, Baja Beach Club, and Fat Tuesday.

Daytona also is close to Orlando theme parks like Walt Disney World, EPCOT, MGM Studios, Animal Kingdom, Typhoon Lagoon, Blizzard Beach, Wet 'n Wild, Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure and SeaWorld.
Over the past few years, South Beach has been attracting sophisticated Spring Breakers looking for fast, trendy club-style nightlife, beautiful beaches and an older-aged party crowd. South Beach is on the south end of Miami Beach in the historic Art Deco District.

During the day enjoy Miami's beautiful sun-drenched beaches and consistently great weather. South Beach also offers wide selection of boutiques, shops and dining. The nightlife is unmatched with its variety of late night restaurants, clubs and activities. At sundown, the models, musicians and other locals come out to move to the rhythms of South Beach's wild club scene.

Anywhere: Tampa, Daytona, South Beach ... Hotels are plenty and cater to Spring breakers, although certain hotels will actually not let you rent a room for justifiable fear of having their rooms wrecked.

I'll take two, Daytona Beach.
