Circus, Circus. Remember, you get what you pay for. I tried to go cheap when traveling and I will never do it again. I deserve better. I want the place where I will be sleeping to be clean and nice. |

I have been watching the hotel prices on the strip everyday for the past month now. Right now the Imperieal Palace has the best deal. Its running about 40 a night and a bit more on weekends. I jsut booked 6 nights there in may for 370. Its an alright hotel with an alright casino and amenaties. The location is prime though. You have Paris, Ballys, Flamingo, Harrahs right next to it. Then accross the street is Ceasers, Mirage, Treasure Island. Other options would be the Statosphere and Sahara to the north. Not much around them, but the monorail starts at the Sahara and runs the lenght of the strip. On the south side of the strip the Tropicana and Excalibur are good deals. Stayed at the Excalibur this past May for 7 nights, cost me 500. Down on that end is a lot of nice places like luxor, Mandalay bay, MGM, Monte Carlo. Easy to get to them and again, the monorail can take you anywhere on the strip you want to go. Plus, if this is your first time going, sign up for the players club cards. These cards give you points when you use them in the slots and puts you in the casinos computers to send you great offers. Best part is, one card is good at all the MGM properties, and the other big one is for the Harrahs properties. I played manly at the Excalibur this year, but ran 50 dollars through the slots at MGM and Mandaly Bay. Ended up getting offers from both MGM and Mandaly Bay for 3 and 2 free nights. In general you can find some good deals for your first time, but after that using the players cards will get you some sweet deals emailed and regular mailed to you. |

I would book the room directly with your desired hotel. In addition I would use a promotion code, this can save a lot of money. A good site for promotion codes is http://www.vegas-hotels-online.com |

Stay at either the Imperial Palace or Circus Circus. I have stayed at both and payed hardly anything. Circus Circus was only $28.00/night when I stayed there several years ago in January. Imperial Palace was only $16.00/night in January several years ago. I really got a bargain there! Vegas has tons of bargains! |

Depends on several factors. One: where exactly on the strip are you interested in staying? Southpoint Casino is technically on the strip, but it is located several miles South on the Blvd of the "heart". Circus Circus can be fairly affordable on most nights; it's rated two diamonds by AAA. Motel 6 is just a very short walk from the strip, adjacent to Hooter's, and closer to the heart of the strip than BOTH Southpoint and Circus Circus. It just depends on what you're looking for. Good luck.

I work at Circus Circus. I say for price during most weekdays and weekends/ excluding holidays we are the best priced. You can stay as low as $35 on weekdays.
It's also really nice. A lot of remodeling has been going into it. The lowest rate is always for the Manor Motor Lodge. Thats good if you want to park right in front of your room and be closer to the pools.
The Sky and Main Towers all offer easy access to the casino and main hotel with nice rooms. There are even XL rooms in the Main for a little more that have Sofas etc.. like a mini Suite.
The west tower is usualy just like ten bucks more than the motor lodge and its been completely re-done with new everything and plasma TVs.
If you book online directly through circuscircus.com you can get really good packages also with free gas card promos, slot play, buffets and adventuredome coupons.
really not trying to sell the place just giving a good answer remember I just work there dont actually get commition for people going there lol. |

Off the strip, every hotel on the strip is overpriced. Keep in eye out online and in the newspapers for the hotels on the "old" vegas strip. The Golden Nugget is a nice hotel and it usually has some good deals but it depends what time of year you go. |

what are you doing in vegas? That's not home. |

Not including the hooker hotels, the best priced place to stay on the strip is the Strat. In Vegas you always get better deals by booking in advance and if flying get your plane ticket and hotel as part of a package deal for the best rates. Still the Strat is the place to stay. |

Check out The California (or Californian). Not sure if it's on the Strip but many folks here in Hawaii are addicted to Vegas and that hotel. |
