http://www.vegas.com/attractions

Free spectacles
Fountains of Bellagio
Fremont Street Experience
Masquerade Show in the Sky - Rio
Sirens of TI - Treasure Island
Atlantis & Festival Fountains - Forum Shops/Caesars

For a few $$
Stratosphere Tower & Rides
Gameworks - Showcase Mall, next to MGM

Shark Reef - Mandalay Bay
Adventuredome - Circus Circus
Rides - Speed(Sahara) Manhattan Express(NY NY)
There are several go-cart tracks
Dune Buggy rentals
Flyaway indoor skydiving
Shooting Sports - The Gun Store - Indoor range

Guy shopping
Bass Pro Shop - Silverton

Mt Charleston - For picnic, hiking, sightseeing, etc. This is our fav daytrip from LV. It's only 35 minutes North of LV and you don't have to sit in a 2-3 hour traffic jam to get there(Hoover Dam)

The Grand Canyon is a very long drive but a helicopter tour is an awesome experience.

Pool

There are some awesome pool areas in Las Vegas

Buffets
http://www.lasvegasadvisor.com/buffets.cfm

Our Fav ones for great food and good value
Main Street Station

Gold Coast
Fremont - Seafood Buffet - Sun/Tue/Fri
Green Valley Ranch - Lunch
Silverton - Lunch
Palace or Boulder Station - Breakfast
Las Vegas Hilton - Dinner
Mirage - Dinner

Shows
http://www.lasvegasadvisor.com/shows.cfm

Mystere - Treasure Island
"Ka" - MGM
"O" - Bellagio
Blue Man Group - Venetian
Those are the best IMO, "Ka" or BMG would more than likely be ones your 15YO would like best.

Bargain Shows
Mac King - Harrah's
XTreme Magic - Nothing X at all, it's a great family show with White Tigers

Best Family Show
King Arthurs Tournament - Excalibur

If they like to play golf there are many courses in the area and some of them are almost reasonable.

Bowling - Orleans, Sam's Town, Gold Coast, South Point and Suncoast.

Sports - LV has a couple of minor league teams, the Wranglers(hockey) and the LV 51's(area 51) the AAA team of the LA Dodgers. Tickets to these games are very inexpensive. Box seats were $13 last year, $8 for reserve seats. We went to a couple of hockey games in December the price was very reasonable, but I forget what it was.

He cannot wander the casino alone and cannot be outside the hotel with his parents after 9:00 p.m.

He can enjoy the swimming pool with his room key. He can go to a cafe or buffet. He can go to places on the trip via foot, bus or cab to see

Star Trek Exhibition**** - Hilton
Sharf Reef** - Mandalay Bay
Dolphin Habitat*** - Mirage
Sigfried & Roy's Secret Garden*** - Mirage
Fashion Show Mall
Ride The Scream roller coaster - NYNY
Ride the 3 rides 101 stories up - Stratosphere

Vegas is an adult disneyland and not really for minors. Check out www.lasvegasnow.com for links and ideas

They could go to the Mustang Ranch. It would be a bonding experience.

As far as the strip goes, they can ride roller coasters at the New York, New York or the Stratosphere. There is also an M&M world with a few attractions, a Coca-Cola store where, for $7 they can try 24 different kinds of sodas from around the world. There is also a place called GameWorks, an underground arcade full of fun games.

Aside from the strip, they can go to Red Rock (about 30 minutes away) and go hiking. It is an awesome place and a full day can be spent there.

I'd say Circus Circus adventuredome (indoor amusement park). Otherwise, I'd agree with previous poster about NY-NY hotel's rollercoaster. He might want to see dolphin habitat at Mirage or Shark Reef at Mandalay Bay if he's into nature/aquariums. Also, when they get to town, pick up a guidebook such as "what's on' to see discount coupons and get other ideas about that to do w/teens. Good luck.

Baking in the Las Vegas heat
They can go to Gameworks, thats on the strip by the MGM. The Shark Reef at Mandalay Bay, hike at Red Rock Canyon, take 15 north to 95 north, take that to Summerlin Expressway west (only one way on) and take that to the 215. Turn left and take that to Charleston Blvd (Red Rock Station is there). Turn right, and drive about 12 miles or so, it will be on the right side. There are a lot of different trails to hike on. (BRING WATER!!!).
There's some roller coasters at some of the hotels.
I don't recommend adventuredome at circus circus. Boring and the rides are short.
If you like baseball, the Las Vegas 51's may be in town.
Go see the hard Rock Hotel. That hotel is not on the strip but on Harmon and Paradise. About 2 miles from the strip.
And if it is affordable, go see The Blue Man Group.

I went to Vegas when I was under 21 and still had quite a bit of fun. A lot of the hotels have entertainment of that sort; there are even some with rides on the grounds (ie- the Paris hotel). Obviously, there are hundreds of shows (magic, performance, etc). It's Vegas, and there a very good chance that if they can think it up, there's a way to do it there.

How about a helicopter or airplane flight over the Hoover Dam and / or Grand Canyon? Does he golf? Hiking in Red Rock Canyon? Check the Bellagio fountain show and the Fremont street experience. Eat at some fine buffets. You'll be amazed at how fast the time (and money!) goes.
