Depends on what you like. The west is always best in the Summer time for people who like nature. New England can be great for City people, like Washington D.C. or Neeeewww Yoooork Ciiity! sorry I was thinking about Pace Picante Sauce...Boycott MEXICO! Anyway, Try out the Grand Canyon if you really want to see something beautiful or hike in Breckenridge, Colorado. Wymoing is great for camping and cabinning(is that a word?) |

New York yet another bizzare option...you decide! |

I have been to both sides and I would go east. New York is a big place and alot to see. We have Jersey with Great adventure an hour away from New York. PA has white water rafting. (thats a blast!) If you want warmer weather, we got the carolinas, florida, virginia.
I am at the moment checking out Europe! Now that right there is a ball! its a whole new world over here! |

The Island of Hawaii, also known as the Big Island. It has 11 of the world's 13 climates with 14,000' snow topped mountain, desert, rain forest & much more. 12+ observatories built by US & many countries; visitors' center at 9,000' level with telescopes, movies about the observatories etc; waterfalls; live lava flow; Volcanoes Ntl. Park; black sand beaches as well as white sand; climate in 80's almost year round with 60's for sleeping; flowering trees, bushes and plants year round. If price is no object there are some extraordinary resorts north of Kona on the NE side of the island. Oh yes, and helicopter flights, river runs and much more. |

south africa. go see the real african safari.
japan
climb mount everest, so visit nepal
iceland, go bathe in the hot springs
oh btw i dont consider any domestic traveling to be considered "traveling" or a vacation at all!
If you can only afford to stay in the States, then id opt for Hawaii
or Centralia, Pennsylvania, if you've seen the movie Silent Hill...could be interesting to visit a ghost town |

Definitely Miami. It is so awesome there.I lived in Tampa half my life and i used to go down every weekend when i got off work and i don't think i ever seen the same thing twice. The beach is beautiful at night all light up,and the hot dog vendors during the day isn't nothing to shake a stick at unless its your stick.Just go there you wont be disappointed.Make sure its spring or summer, because no matter what people say it does get kinda chilly during winter months. |

If you're travelling this summer, try driving the Pacific Coast Highway-California, Oregon, and Washington.
If you're going in fall, go see the colours of the Eastern states. Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, and New York are beautiful in late September and October. |

Go to the west coast, start down south, and travel all the way up the coast! It is absolutely beautiful and you will see such a variety of coastal places. From soft, fine sandy beaches, to rocky cliffs, and wide open beaches, sand dunes, to the giant redwoods and fern canyons. There is horseback riding, wharfs, fresh seafood, docks, dune buggies, hiking, elk in the north, sea gulls, the sound of waves crashing, and absolutely awesome sunsets on the ocean. And don't forget the historical landmarks, and amusements (like the tar pits, uniniversal studios, pier 39, beach boardwalk). And even the big cities (L.A.,San Francisco). There is so much!!!!
Anyways, good luck, and believe me, it is a trip you will always remember!!!
And......... You can tell you family you love them on the sandy beaches in great big letters!
DO NOT FORGET TO BRING YOUR SWIMMING TRUNKS AND CAMERA!!!
lol. |

If it's for the summer, maybe Miami. You'll meet lots of hot college students on break, especially around the beach area. For a family trip in the summer, maybe you should visit D.C. You'll learn a lot about our history; plus, they do a lot of tours, so you don't need a lot of planning. |
