Well, you already said you don't want a southern state; so why would you choose South Carolina? I think you would enjoy a state like Washington or Oregon. They are beautiful states with plenty of national parks, mountains, and less crime per capita than many other states. Good luck... oh and P.S. I'm from Texas, it's waaaay better than South Carolina! -Alan

Vienna, Virginia!
Every time you go to Giant(the supermarket) you'll see someone you know. It's a nice small town with small houses and huge houses with large yards.
Vienna has awesome schools. It's in Fairfax County which I think is one of the wealthiest counties.
There ARE four seasons. Winter can be a little cold and summer can be a little humid, but you could live through that.
Vienna is VERY safe. There are always tennagers walking around having a good itme, it's a very nice community.
Vienna is only like 20 minutes away from Washington D.C.
The mall is only less than 15 minutes away. From some houses you could actually walk to town for Starbucks, Giant, Baskin Robins,CVS, Blockbust to rent a movie, ect.

1st of all South Carolina is a Southern State.
Come to Kentucky and head east to Morehead in Rowan County.
Situated in the Eastern Kentucky mountains near Cave Run Lake and Daniel Boone national Forest.
It is 75 miles to Lexington Ky and 75 miles to Huntington W. Va.
It is 60 miles to the Ohio River at Portsmouth Ohio, and two hours form the Red River Gorge Scenic Hiking area of the Daniel Boone National Forest.Situated directly adjacent to I-64 and I-75 is at Lexington, KY.
It is the home of The University of Morehead; and is in the heart of The Bible Belt and is safe, decent, and has varied selections of houses and acreage.
You will be within 100 miles of Cincinnati, Ohio.

Well, Minnesota defenitely has all four seasons. Quite extreme at times too. Minneapolis/St.Paul is a nice area. Lots of lakes but no mountains.

shadouse
Utah is great. The north as mountains the south is a desert and both are gorgeous!

I live in NewJersey.
North is near NYC
South is near Philidelphia.
If your looking for large yards, search the northern and southern part of the state. Central Jersey not so much.
Youve got the Adirondacks to the north. Bear Mountain on the other side of the northern border.
If in town, should be safe. Depends on town.
It does have 4 seasons.

If you're white, move somewhere else. White people are persecuted by brown people in the USA.
