Which Disney parks would be best for our 6 year old daughters? We want to visit 3.?

1) MAGIC KINGDOM- This will probably be the best park for your daughter to enjoy. She'll get to see Cinderella's Castle and Tinkerbell fly during Wishes (MK night time fireworks). Not only that but she'll be ale to ride the rides and see the shows of Disney's movies: Country Bear Jamboree, Haunted Mansion, and Pirates of the Caribbean (if you visit after the July 7th, they remodeled it for the newest movie). Plus all the classic rides: It's a Small World, Peter Pan's Flight, Jungle Cruise, Dumbo the Flying Elephant, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Space Mountain, and Splash Mountain, plus many others.

2) ANIMAL KINGDOM- This would probably be the next best park for your daughter, it has all the animals around like a zoo, but in the Disney atmosphere. It also has Camp Minnie-Mickey for the younger ones. Great rides/shows include Kilimanjaro Safaris, Festival of the Lion King, It's Tough to be a Bug!, and Kali River Rapids.

I'd suggest only sticking to those two parks if you're here for only a few days because Magic Kingdom will definitely take longer then a one day. But if you really want to see three parks then the third would be...

3) MGM STUDIOS- They have wonderful shows that both you and your daughter could enjoy. Beauty and the Beast which is extravagant for being smashed into a 30minute live show. Fantasmic! (could be a bit scary though) which is the only night "show" on Disney property with stunt effects, laser effects, water effects and of course fireworks. Muppet Vision 3-D which is a hilarious show with Jim Henson's Muppet's. Lights Motor Action there newest show full of car stunts. Plus many more...

EPCOT is also a wonderful park, but would probably be extremely boring for her. I'm 19 and only a few years ago did I start enjoying this park, so I'd suggest saving that one for a later date when she gets older and could enjoy it more with you.

PAY Attention to this important announcement.

You need to do the parks in a specific order, or else your little twins will become your little terrors....

Start at EPCOT. It is the 'least' like a theme park and you and they can get into the flow of things and guage sleep patterns, when to take the mandatory siesta, etc...

Day two, go to Animal Kingdom, followed by Fantasmic at MGM at the end of the day. In this way you'll see the animals and get that other big 800 lb gorilla (the late night show) off your back!

Day three...MGM...more like a theme park, and you'll be done by 4 or so so you can have a restive late afternoon/evening in order to prep you for....

Day four...THE MAGIC KINGDOM...the granddaddy of them all MUST BE LAST lest your kiddie poohs think all the parks will be like this...a nightnmare of expectations, to be sure....

If you are going for less than four days, delete EPCOT until they are older...if for more than 4 days...repeat what they want on days 5, etc...

I took my 4 year old son in January and he loved Animal Kingdom and Magic kingdom best. Certain attractions at Epcot and MGM appealed to him but we split 1 day between the two parks. A great book to help with finding attractions that are appropriate is The Unofficial guide to walt disney world 2006, their website is www.touringplans.com which also has maps so u can plan your entire day depending on what and when u want to do something. hope this helps.www.allearsnet.com is also very helpful

Magic Kingdom, Epcot w/ its Kidcot stops and Animal Kingdom. Each resort also has kids areas to relax in during the day with small children, which may be refered to as nursing rooms on the brochures. They have chairs and TVs that play Disney videos and are air conditioned. They are a nice place to take a break and get a cool drink off of the beaten path.

I would go to the Majic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, and then one of Disneys water parks. They have several.

Simply Put

For little kids, go to Disney World in Orlando Florida and visit Animal Kingdom, Epcot and Magic Kindom. ; )

Disneyland other parks like California Adventures and others have "thrill rides" and other rides 6 year olds are either too short for or would scare them. Disneyland is filled with rides 6 year olds will love my fav is Small World

For six year olds, I think that Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom and MGM are going to have the most that they will enjoy.

EPCOT is a great park, but is more for adults and the rides are a little too scary for younger children as well.

Going to Disneyland and getting one of the hotel packages with the special character lunch/breakfast is a lot of fun especially if your daughters are into the Disney Princesses like mine is.

Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, and Epcot.

There isn't alot to do in MGM for little ones, alot of the rides require a child to be taller. I think it's 52 inches and up.

Okay well theres only 4 in walt disney world so I reccomend

magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom as a Definite!

But, its hard to say on the 3rd one because you have to choose between MGM and EPCOT. Both can be slightly boring for children that age. But, I think Disney MGM Studios would be your best bet because they have great shows (The Beauty and the Beast, Voyage of the Little Mermaid, Playhouse Disney, Night-time Spectacular "Fantasmic!" is great!) and they have some pretty good rides for 6 year olds, especially the Great movie ride! If you visit Disney MGM studios, I highly reccomend the Sci-fi Dine-in Theater for a meal. The food is great and the atmosphere and ambiance iwll blow your mind.

Just got back from Disney, If you only have 3

I would recommend Animal Kingdom early morning we got there late and the animals were mostly hiding due to the heat, take the Safari early, we missed that due to the lines.

Next I would say MGM or Epcot since their are more things geared to the little kids in terms of the characters to meet.

Last Magic Kingdom, Must see, no doubt about that, I'm 38 and it was my first trip there, my eyes where watering just seeing it for the first time.

Like most of the other respondents here, the park I'd skip is MGM ... unless these girls are the youngest 'old movie buffs' on the planet, that would be the least appealing of the 4 theme parks.

Go to Animal Kingdom early in the morning, when the animals are most active.

All the parks are going to involve a lot of time waiting on line AND a lot of walking. For the second, I advise renting a wheelchair, especially if you can rent it by the week from a non-Disney vendor. Disney is the most wheelchair friendly attraction on the planet, so it won't be a liability at all. It will give anyone in your party a place to sit and rest, and provide a cart for packs when everyone wants to walk.

Because of the first (waiting on line), I'd break up the theme park marathon with a day at Typhoon Lagoon. The grown ups can relax in loungers while the kids can safely run wild. Unless things have changed, you can bring an ice chest or picnic basket into Typhoon Lagoon. (Do this. Disney food prices are outrageous.)

If you have to choose 3 parks and three parks only I would choose Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom as definite and the third would depend on your interests. Magic Kingdom is a classic and has all the classic rides for kids like Dumbo. Animal Kingdom also allows your kids a chance to see live wild animals which any kids would love and that's why I say those to parks are definite. Now as far as your third park, you've got MGM and Epcot to choose from. MGM might be the better of the two because most people say Epcot is educational. Epcot is a great park and there are aspects that are educational but kids don't realize that, I also like Epcot because there's the World Showcase where you can "visit" different countries (China, Mexico, Morocco, Japan, Canada, France, Germany and more) and cultures without a passport. Then there's MGM which gives you that Hollywood backlot feel and features some great shows and even a Muppets 3-D show which the kids might find more entertaining. Either park would be great and also keep in mind if you're going when the water parks are open you might want to check out a water park instead, there's 2 to choose from Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon (I recommend Blizzard Beach for the kids). Also there's Downtown Disney which offers great shopping a dinning (and a movie theater). It's a great place to do your souvenir shop and there's a Lego land and for girls there's a Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique which is a beauty shop/dress up for girls to be princess fairy or whatever they want (and you can get their picture taking but book before you go). Try Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, and Epcot. I think they'll like the magic kingdom because it's the basic disney thing. Animal Kingdom might be fun because they get to see different animals. Epcot might be fun because they can see different kinds of cultures and taste the different foods there. Have fun!

1. Magic Kingdom - The girls can see all their favorite princesses and Cinderella's Castle. There's a few great charcter meals (Cinderella's Castle, the Crystal Palace, the Liberty Tree Tavern, etc.) There's also two parades, the Share a Dream Come True Parade and the SpectroMagic Parade. And then there's an awesome pyrotechnics/fireworks show, Wishes Nighttime Spectacular.

2. Epcot - This is my favorite park. There's plenty of great rides the girls will most likely enjoy, like Spaceship Earth, Soarin', El Rio del Tiempo, etc. I'm sure they'll love the Living Seas aquarium, where they can see sharks, dolphins, tropical fish, sting rays, sea turtles, and manatees. There's the World Showcase, with great entertainment and dining. Epcot is a fun park, but it's also educational. At night, the best pyrotechnics show takes place. Illuminations: Reflections of Earth. It's incredible!

3. Animal Kingdom - The girls can see all kinds of exotic, foreign animals they may never see otherwise. All types of monkey, gorillas, tigers, lions, rhinos, hippos, exotic birds, komodo dragons, etc. There's so many amazing animals, and there's plenty of rides, too.

Personally, I didn't care for Animal Kingdom all that much. My top 3 were Magic Kingdom, Epcot, & MGM. Small kids would probably like Animal Kingdom because you get to see the animals pretty up close.
