I personally prefer Boston. It's a nicer city and they have some great shops.
New York is so huge that you don't always find the shops you're looking for. Soho is the best shopping area in New York though should you go. |

New York City is the best place to be for the incredible Xmas displays in dept store windows, office bldgs and streets. The shopping is wonderful in terms of variety of products that range from very cheaply priced to the most expensive. I found Boston to be alittle bit staid, but then I'm a native New Yorker. |

in my opinion I found San Francisco great for shopping....REALLY great, i spent a fortune and got some cool gifts too...its not boston or nyc but it is very much worth considering |
