I think Dallas is because that is where I was born raised and I am more familiar and comfortable in the surroundings. I like the larger variety of shopping, more variety of professional sport teams, more variety of jobs (most of Houston seems to be geared for Engineering), more variety of colleges. The highway systems and public transportation systems are more easy to navigate. I also like having a fall, winter, spring and summer. I t is more of a fashion city.
I like Houston and after being here over 4 years am starting to really love it but if I had to choose a favorite it would be Dallas.

Let me put it to you this way. I love to visit Dallas, and I get up there a few times a year. I choose to live in Houston. Despite the humidity and the traffic, there are incredible opportunities here due to the economic infrastructure. We're decades past being only energy. We have a solid foundation in fields energy, finance, high tech, medical, and construction fields.
Add to that all there is to do here. The people are friendlier here and far less pretentious than Dallas as well. |

H-TOWN...i lived there and it is so awesome....I lived in Sugar Land and it was sooo coool everyone is nicer and you have the option of being in the city and in a suburb 15 min from the city although the traffic is bad but once the construction is done it will be amazing |

Why ask this in a Houston forum? You know most people will say Houston is better.
They both suck but Dallas sucks less. Dallas is younger, more vibrant and is just a bit more exciting but Austin is the place to go though.
To the person who said they have gangs and drugs...........ALL big cities have gangs and drugs, it's a fact of life, just stay in the good parts of any city and you'll be fine. |
