No question...Dallas. Northerners are a little contemptuous of Southerners, especially at the university level. Being Asian won't matter, it will be your slow-talking that will be a source of ridicule. You will also have to get used to their accent (which is heavy) and their rapid-fire delivery. That could be difficult in classroom situations. Overall, Boston is cold, over-crowded, full of traffic and stress and stressed out people. Living there was the worst 8 months of my life. I couldn't wait to get out. You'll be much happier in Dallas, IMHO.

Good luck in whatever choice you make! We need great doctors!

Id say if your from Texas already, why dont you explore and go to Boston.

If you're already from Texas, get out of Texas and see more of the country and experience more of the world. Boston is more difficult to get around, and probably more expensive, but there is much more history and culture to experience there, you're closer to NY and Washington , D.C and the seafood is PHENOMENAL. It would be interesting for you to live near the ocean and experience that, too.

boston.

why not a smaller town? I can drive 10 miles in 10 minutes, there is no such thing as traffic jams, and city traffic. O yeah, my town has never had a murder either, no locking doors, kids can play down the street, ect... Kind of a utopia, pretty close anyway.. I live 6 miles from the biggest college in my state, thats right 6-7 minutes to class

that would depend on what you're looking for. natives of each city will say theirs is best. research each city and the schools you would attend and find the one that is best for you. I've lived and gone to school in several cities and each has something to offer.

I went to optometry school in Boston-- and I'm very glad I experienced there. The city is geared toward students. I think there was a survey a while ago that said that the average age of the city is 28!! It is expensive for students, but with some looking you can live relatively inexpensively. Restaurants and bars ALWAYS have student specials. I STRONGLY recommend Boston for any college student.

I am from Los Angeles, I live in Amarillo now, but I spent over a year in Houston.

Dallas does not even compare to Boston.

I want a postcard when you get to Boston!
