I have stayed at Bally's, Harrah's and Flamingo. The North tower at Bally's has larger rooms and Very nice. You just don't have a good view of the strip. Harrah's was nice and well kept but I thought the room was small. I enjoyed the GO Room at Flamingo. Has a docking station for IPODS. Plasma TV in the bedroom and in the mirror in the bathroom. I really enjoyed it the best of the 3. Sorry I can't give any input about Luxor, Monte Carlo or NYNY.
Harrahs and Flamingo are pretty much right on for location (Center Strip). Luxor, Monte Carlo and NYNY are much farther South. |

Luxor is very nice. Especially for the price. Ask for one of the tower rooms. They are bigger than the others.
The Monte Carlo would be my second choice.
NYNY or Flamingo would be my third choices.
I would not vote for the others. Not much atmosphere. |

If you want to avoid kids, just stay away from Circus Cirus. There's too many of them there. |

I would stay away from the Luxor .. it is connected to the Excalibur and the center of the pyramid has a lot of attractions for kids. The Monte Carlo is the best bet. Ballys, Harrahs and Flamingo are older properties and show it. NYNY does have the roller coaster and that does attract the kids too. Monte Carlo is the place for you. |

My preference would be Monte Carlo. It is slightly smaller than the other hotels so you don't have to walk forever just to get from your room to the pool. The pool is very nice. They have a waterfall, a wave pool and a lazy river where you can just float on a tube. Get there early if you want to make sure you have a seat and towels.
There is a free tram connecting Monte Carlo and the Bellagio. The Monte Carlo is sort of a step up from the bargain hotels but not as pricey as the top hotels. Definitely a step up. The location is very good. Other free trams connect Excalibur, Mandalay Bay and Luxor. There is another that connects Treasure Island and the Mirage.
Oh, and for what it is worth, they give you a lot of products in the bathroom including there own very high quality skin lotion that my wife loves and some kind of special beauty soap. Check all the drawers and you may find a complimentary sewing kit.

not flamingo, my parents stayed in that hotel and said it was really smokey, Monte Carlo is great, it looks and sound great, NY NY is so cool inside and has a rolocoaster on the outside that hurts, but is so much fun so i would say
Monte Carlo or NY NY, i would prefer NY NY, inside looks like a city, and has a cool game section, ceacers palace is very fancy! shopping is limited and expensive for rich people |

Vegas is an adult town so kids are NOT allowed to run around casinos. They have to be with their parents, and not allowed in the bars, gaming areas or night clubs.
Of those you listed I would suggest Luxor or NYNY. Luxor has two great night clubs for people your age, though others do too. Luxor has two different pyramid hotels, one standard shape and the other step. And Luxor does not support kids coming to their property, e.g., no arcade. |

It's been awhile since I've been there, and I don't know about how many kids stay where, but I have heard that New York, New York can be quite loud. (But I guess any casino can be.) If you stay at the Monte Carlo, you might have a nice view of the NY, NY rollercoaster. Bally's offers a nice, close-up view of the Eiffel Tower at the Paris (very romantic), so I would probably choose Bally's for myself. Hope this helps. |

The Flamingo has been renovating their rooms, and their newest room called a 'GO Room' is hot, and makes you want to party the moment you walk in!
The Flamingo also has the least amount of children, and you are ablle to walk to Ballys,Harras, and Paris! It has an awesome pool area, and some great restaurants!
You can get a good rate to the Flamingo over at http://www.bestofvegas.com/hotels/Flamingo/
Have fun! |

Here is my preference:
Mirage, Monte Carlo, NYNY, & Luxor. They should all be less than $100 a night week day check-in. Make sure you book those hotels using promotion codes in order to get the lowest price and the freebies that goes with it. Here are the codes:

Avoid Flamingo and Harrahs. They are not worth the money if all of the above are in the same price range.
If you can get a remodeled room at Ballys that is worth thinking about.
The luxor only if you can get a tower room (not a pyramid room)
The Monte Carlo is nice but a little set back on the strip and a little walk to other hotels in the area (not that bad though)
Your best bet would be the NYNY. It is a very nice hotel in a great location with some good views. On that side of the strip even if you don't get a strip view you will get a great view of the mountains that I like just as much. The only draw back on the NYNY is the pool. It is very small and you will hear the people on the roller coaster the whole time.
The luxor's pool is great for people of your age and the Hotel usually doesn't have a lot of young kids. (Vegas itself has gone away for the most part of having a lot of young kids.) This would be my second choice but only if I could get a tower room. |

NewYork NewYork
It's in the middle of the strip, fantastic rooms, great pool, numerous shops, beautiful hotel and ample parking. |
