Walt Disney World in Florida is much better than Disneyland in California. First of all, Walt Disney World is the number one vacation destination in the world - that just proves it. Compared to Disneyland's two Theme Parks, Walt Disney World has four Theme Parks, plus two Water Parks. Disneyland has a Downtown Disney District, but Walt Disney World has Downtown Disney which is larger. Disneyland has three hotels, but Walt Disney World has over 25 different Resort options. One can't spend more than a few days at Disneyland before running out of things to do, but one could spend weeks at Walt Disney World and still not do everything there is to do on property. Walt Disney World is much larger, has much more to do, and in my opinion is better than Disneyland in California. However, that wouldn't keep me from ever traveling to California to see Disneyland, as I'm a very big fan of the Disney Parks.

I have to agree with Katlyn on this one. Walt Disney World in FL is huge. There is so much to do here that it would take a month to get it all done.

first of all, disneyland is in California and disneyworld is in Flordia,and I would have to say disneyworld in Flordia

I heard that Disney World in Fl. is bigger and newer than Disney Land in Ca. Both have their differences.

Disney World is in Florida. Disneyland is in California. Disney world is much larger and also has downtown disney which is a whole new perk that my clients enjoy.
Partying, shopping, eating well past midnight.
Epcot, Mgm, and more all in Disney World.

You will not get a "Real" answer for this question considering you're asking for others opinions on which they think is better. It's like asking people which is better Coke or Pepsi?!? You'll get a mixed review with different reasons as to why it is better then the other. I have heard planty of people say that Disney Land (in California) is better, just as I have heard plenty say Walt Disney World (in Florida) is better. It's all a matter of opinion!

But here's some facts about both:
Disney Land:
First of all the Disney Parks (worldwide) to open on July 18, 1955 and the only that Walt himself was able to see finished.
Has two theme parks and three resorts.
Disney Land Park is the second most visited theme park in the world.
Houses Sleeping Beauty's Castle.
"The happiest place on earth".
Walt Disney World:
The last thing that Walt was working on, and although he wasn't able to see the finished product his brother Roy continued on and opened the gates October 1, 1971.
Has four theme parks, two water parks (used to be three), over twenty Disney Resorts (plus others that aren't Disney), two miniture golf courses, shopping, dining, golf courses, etc...
Magic Kingdom is the worlds most visited theme park.
Houses Cinderella's Castle.
"The most magical place on earth".

Okay, if I had the choice, here would be my reasons to go to Disney World in Florida and not Disneyland in California:

1. California = earthquake country. Florida = hurricane country. You know when a hurricane is coming to Florida because it takes a week or two to get there. You have no warning when an earthquake is going to hit California.

2. Disney World is at least 10 years newer than Disneyland plus they have been continuously adding new areas to the park for the last 6 or 7 years. Therefore there are more attractions in Disney World than in Disneyland.

3. If you get bored of Disney World, Orlando has 3 other major theme parks plus great shopping in the same area plus 2 more major theme parks in Tampa which is about an hour away. DisneyLand does have other stuff around it but not as much as Orlando does.

Florida has hurricanes which you can plan for as long as you do not plan your trip during hurricane season. Travel to Florida is usually cheaper than travel to California in terms of airfare and hotel.

California has earthquakes which do not have a season so you can not plan for them and California is usually more expensive that Florida for a family-style vacation
