The location at 84 Beacon Street has the exterior shots that the show is famous for but the interior looks nothing like the actual bar...you'll have to go to Quincy Market for that. I think the 84 Beacon Street location is the better fo the two though. |

The original in Beacon Hill. It used to be called the Bull and Finch, but changed its name to Cheers. The inside doesn't look exactly like the one on TV, but it ismuch less touristy than the one at Quincy Market. |

The one already mentioned on Beacon Street is the one you want. But why? I've lived in Boston for 15 years and don't know anyone who's ever been there. It's just a tourist trap for suckers who watched the tv show. |

The Bull and Finch. That's where the entrance to the bar is. Y'know, the door at the bottom of the stairs. |

Well the "original" is on Beacon Hill. Honestly, neither are that great, and both are over priced. If you are a tourist, and want to see the familiar sign, etc then it's fun. Maybe buy a t-shirt and then move on. The food is okay, and they have some decent specialty drinks. But for anyone who actually lives in the city, would never hang out there. At the end of the night, your bill will be double if you walked down the street a few more feet to any other bar! |

There is the original Cheers on Beacon St., Cheers at Faneuil Hall and another spin-off right next to the second Cheers is called Sam's Place.
The one on Beacon Street is a bit better but still expensive. |

I agree with the others - Beacon St location is better, but it is still a bit too touristy. There's an awesome bar on Tremont St called The Last Hurrah! It's one of my favorite places to grab a drink and watch the world walk by. |

I'm going to have to say Quincy Market location, only because you can sit by the windows and "people watch" while you have a beer. Plus, you can "say" that you had a beer at Cheers and still have time for shopping.
But that's me. Both are tourist traps, imo. |

They're all horrible over rated tourist traps, but if you must go to one, at least make it the original on Beacon Street. |

honestly? save your time. food is bad and the "replica bar" in Fanueil Hall isn't hardly a replica at all. (I worked there -- I know.)
If you MUST go, go to Beacon St. At least you get the outside similarity. The alternative is crap-ola. |

Bull & Finch Cheers
The one at Quincy Market/Haymarket is more of a tourist trap. The original is the best. It was the inspiration and no, it does not look like the set. It also is 'touristy' but the interior hasn't changed to look like the set of the TV show.
I remember when they were building the one in Haymarket to look like the one that was in the Airport. Clear and obvious tourist trap. :/
(Think that one at the Airport is gone. I could be wrong. If so, someone please let me know. I'd check but I've had problems at Logan post 9/11 when I actually had a ticket to go somewhere. So I'm not going to go check. Should someone ever ask about bad/funny Logan airport stories... I might answer. ;D ) |

I do not know what you mean by two locations.
There is only the original location on Beacon Street, except for licensed franchises at various airports, not just at Boston.
There is a completely different Boston bar named Three Cheers. |
