Which of the Disney Parks should we visit? |
Hello, we have just booked our holiday to Florida for mid September. We're planning on doing most of the big parks, but have agreed amongst ourselves that we will only do 2 of the 4 Disney parks. I've got a guide book on the parks, but am still unsure about the best 2 to visit. We have a fairly large travelling party, consisting of 2 young teenage girls, 3 in early 20's & 2 'parents'. A few of us quite like animals & wildlife, so we're probably going to do Animal Kingdom, as it's a bit different from the other parks, but which is the best of the other 3 to visit? Of course, young children's rides are not of a lot of interest to us, but would still like a mix!
Thanks! |

Sept is a great time to go cause the crowds are low. I personally would get the park hopper pass. Animal Kingdom closes a lot earlier that the other parks so if you have hopper option you could then go over and finish out the day in Magic Kingdom and see the fireworks and hit a few of the signature rides.
Then the second day you could start in MGM/Hollywood so you get Tower of Terror and the Rock N Roller Coaster (2 of the better thrill rides for Disney) then park hop on over the Epcot for 2nd half of day. |

Well you have to do Magic Kindom its classic....
if you want some other options you can do Epcot which has all the worlds in it...
and Mgm studios rocks |

Magic Kingdom is the best park in my opinion. They have a variety of shows and rides. ( They do have a few little kid rides, but not too any ) Epcot is more educational. Not to the point where its boring, but it isn't my favorite park. Then there's Disney's Hollywood Studios. I like it there, but I think you would have most fun at Magic Kingdom. Have Fun! |

i would definitely say you should go to magic kindgom for the little kids and there are thrills for the teenage girls like pirates of the Caribbean, space mountain, and splash mountain.
Epcot would also be a nice choice. there they have soarin (like your flying over the country), test track (driving in an open car at high speeds, and mission space, where its a simulator that feels like your going into space on a mission to mars.
i hope this helps you narrow your choices. |

As an animal lover I can see the draw to Animal Kingdom, but that park closes so early, if you purchase park hopper tickets you can easily move to another park after closure and stay till that park closes four to five hours later.
It is impossible for me to picture going to Disney World and not doing Magic Kingdom. So my recommendation is to transfer over to this park for the late evening.
Disney Hollywood Studios would be my next park of choice, the rides and shows are so worth it for all ages. The two young teen girls will love this park. The early twenties will also.
Epcot is great, but it requires a more adult approach to see the countries. The shows and rides there are quite amazing though.
These are the two parks I suggest you read up on and make your decisions from there.
Do not forget to go to www.waltdisneyworld.com many of the rides, shows and even restaurants are described there very well. |

It is very hard to not recommend the Magic Kingdom. While it has many rides best appreciated by little ones :) it has even more for kids of all ages...into their 70s!! ...and it is the signature park...
This page sorts all the rides based on appeal by age group: http://yourfirstvisit.net/planning-your-first-family-trip/basic-itinerary/comprehensive-guide-to-rides/ The right column comprise the rides that are favorites for adults and older kids. You'll see a lot of Magic Kingdom rides there.
By 2 parks do you mean also 2 days? If you have more time than that, then a late afternoon/evening at Epcot--focused on the World Showcase--would be worth the price.
Have a great trip!! Dave |

if you want to go to animal kingdom then there is some really fun stuff like kilimajaro safari, expedition everest and dinosaur. since you have all people of at least 13 suggest you go to hollywood studios. it has tower of terror, star tours, rock n roller coaster, fantasmic, lights motors action and indiana jones stunts. epcot is great too, but more for the people who love science. it has test track, mission space, spaceship earth, soarin and great food. |

Well, since you mostly have older people, you would assume that you would want to skip out on the "kiddie rides", right? Actually, some of the best Disney rides are not the thrill rides, but the rides that are made for the whole family. I would go to the Magic Kingdom the first day, experience all the classics, then go to Disney Hollywood Studios, which has a lot more thrill rides. This way, you get a mix of both worlds. Happy traveling! |

Epcot is leaps ahead of the rest, which are aimed at children and infact quite wooden and boring...... After the animal Kingdom that is..... Epcot is more Adult than the others.....
We see all the hype about yhe Castle in the Magic Kingdom, and yet all it is, is a wooden frame with NO interior..... a real let down... .I must confess the characters are outstanding other than that we found Disney a rip off as compared to all the other parks which are a good days full and exciting entertainment....
The only thing for your age group at Disney is shopping and you will find the same products a third of the price out side......... |

Hmm its really hard to say because each park is different and fun in their own way!
Personally, if you go to Disney, try and go to all 4 parks..so worth it!
I think yall would definitely enjoy Epcot!
Have fun!!! |

I love the Magic Kingdom, and while it is mostly children's rides, it is part of the Disney experience. It has so much to do that you'll be lucky if you get it done in one day. It's an amazing park.
The Animal Kingdom? Nice choice! I love that park since I love animals! lol The only problem? They're aren't a lot of rides! But, the safari thing makes up for it. = )
MGM Studios would probably be the last one I recommend. You all would probably like it because all the rides it has are "grown-up" rides. You know, like the Rockin Roller Coaster. Once again, though, it isn't plentiful on the rides, especially compared to the Magic Kingdom. It has a lot of shows instead.
Epcot is my second favorite Disney park (after Magic Kingdom) I love the theme, a lot of the rides. Oh, and it has quite a few rides, too... more than MGM and Animal Kingdom.
Hope this helps a little bit! Have fun on your trip! |

I think the other best theme park would have to be Epcot because it has a mixture of kiddie rides and rides for older people at WDW |
