I'm from Alaska. Yea I know, whats so great about it right? I don't really know, but its the biggest state in the U.S., and I think the most beautiful state also!!!

I am from Michigan. In no special order, this is what is great about it: no hurricanes, no poisonous snakes (Massasauga Rattler hardly counts as their bite is rarely deadly and they are very shy and non-aggressive), Lake Michigan, most of my family lives in Michigan, 4 beautiful seasons (spring and fall are my favorites), the UP, Frankenmuth, Mackinac Island, showing where you live on the back of your left hand, no deserts, white Christmases, Michigan strawberries, Michigan sweet corn, Traverse City sweet cherries, no poisonous bugs, no alligators, no earthquakes, lots of lakes, fireflies, and University of Michigan football.

Coolman8605 needs to get out of the big city and enjoy the rest of Michigan!

I am from the UK where we have counties not states. This question is boring a pointless.

What's so great about it? The weather! On top of that, San Francisco.

New Hampshire. Because it is just right! We have easy access to the Atlantic and its beaches. We have access to a large lakes region. We have beautiful mountains and their national forest. We are not to hot as Texas in summer, but not as cold as the midwest in winter. We don't get many tornados, or hurricanes. Blizzards are easy to handle. We have plenty of forests and rivers. We have tons of REAL maple syrup (none of that cane crap for me!!). We have loads of wildlife to enjoy. Minimal earthquake activity. No poisonous snakes, scorpions or giant centipedes or tarantulas. No alligators in the sewers (or anywhere else for that matter). No killer bees. Excellent skiing in winter, and boating in summer. All the hiking and camping you can handle. Beautiful vistas and tranquil forests. We have the best of everything! The only drawback is that we are next to Massachusetts (just kidding ... I owe a few Mass residents for their kindness when I was in need).

NJ, nothing great here. Well maybe the tomatoes. Beaches suck, people are rude, drivers are awful, taxes too high, it just sucks! I need to move back to FLA!!!!!

Jacksonville, Florida. Youngest median age in Florida (imagine that!) It's more like Georgia than anywhere else in Florida, though. It's got a beach and a big city, a billion things to see and do, right on two major interstates, A1A, two Navy bases (so no shortage of cute sailors!), largest city in land area in the lower 48 states! 3 Hours from Disney, too, and they give you the good ol' Florida resident discount!

San Francisco/Bay Area-the awesome sites and mountains and camping and hiking and diverse cultures & communities, the diverse people, the museums, the views, the resturants, the wineries- ok minus the weather at times, the high real estate, Hollywood and some of the girly-men - oh and our Govanater-love it here
