Well I wouldnt want to live in any of these places. However, I've lived in Cali,Oregon, North Carolina, and now Texas and I can at least tell you which state I hate the most by far. TEXAS!!! The people here are horrible and rude. They're nothing but a bunch of lying, theiving, ignorant country bumpkins that are totally conservative yet even the smallest towns are infested with the worst kind of drugs, which obviously aids the lying and stealing. Not only that but I have yet to meet a girl over 18 that doesnt already have 2 kids with another one on the way, and of course all out of wedlock. They have no kind of work ethic because theyre too busy trying to attract the attention of the opposite sex while theyre at work or they cant wait to get off so they can go to the nearest club, drink themselves into a drunken stupor, and then call in the next day because theyre too hung over. Everyone's all about southern pride and texan pride yet you ask them the most simple questions about Texas or the their supposed southern roots and they have no idea what youre talking about. The only General Lee they know about is the one on Dukes of Hazzard, which by the way is more of a sacred homage than a corny 80s tv show. And I think the DMV must pass videos of Dukes of Hazzard out instead of a driving manuals because nobody can drive here. I mean, I know alot of people dont use theyre blinkers but please explain to me what the point of turning it on when youve ALREADY cut me off so you can get in front of me. Is it just in case I didnt realize a car just appeared right in front of me. Maybe they think the flashing light is like a celebratory "pretty thing" on theyre dashboard that theyre awarded because theyve just "successfully" changed lanes. And whats with the cars here?? Pieces of cars just spontaneously fall off right in front of you. Mufflers, hubcaps, rear view mirrors...anything. And of course theres nothing you can do but run over it. And if pieces of car arent bad enough, the drivers here also throw stuff out the window which then hits your windshield cracking it. Cups, cans, shoes, clothes, hats, lit cigarettes, even though its so dry here your hot breath will set the grass on fire. It NEVER rains so theres no trees, no grass, nothing green and the only birds I ever see are big black ugly things they call "crackles" that sound like squeaky toys being squeezed. There is a lot to do here but its so hot you cant ever go out to enjoy any of those things.
And all this is just the tip of the iceburg. I could go on and on and maybe you didnt want to read all this but at least it gave me a chance to vent a bit. Hopefully this is all temporary anyways so I dont have to put up with it any more. But just to recap...DONT MOVE TO TEXAS!!!

I would choose Hawaii if that was one of the choice. But it wasn't, so California be it... sunshine nearly all year round even in the Winter.

It has to be Texas, no doubt about it.

I'm already here.. New York baby! =)

I've had limited experience with those three states having been to each only once in the past four years, but I would have to say California. I'm a little averse to the whole 'California culture', I can't stand all the traffic in SoCal, and it is rather expensive comparatively, but the weather is great and I love the beaches.

I would choose New York, but I would probably rather live upstate or something not in NYC. I lived in CA for many years and it's way too expensive and unless you really love the beach there's no reason to pay all that extra.

The City That never sleeps...... New York ..... of course...... there is so much to do.. go to Rockerfeller Center, Time Square, Central Park, TRL, lots of Cafes and Restaurants on every corner. Go to a play on Broadway or take the ferry to see the Statue Of Liberty. Soooo Much to Do.

Texas... NY is getting too damn crowded & expensive. This is coming from a native NY'r...it sucks here...trust me.
