As you walk in to a big casino the size of a small city and see all those big flashy light...Ask yourself that same question. ;) |

The casino always wins. The odds are always in there favor. You may win a little here and there, but in the end youll be broke. |

a lot of these people say the casino wins, but not ALWAYS. if you do research on how to beat the odds, you'll come out a winner. my bf and i use to always play blackjack, now we plays craps because the odds are way better. you can bet $10 and easily quadruple that amount. you just have to know who you're playing with as in other players and the dealers. if you tip the dealer and make friendly conversations with them, a lot of times they will "pretend" like they didn't see something that would actually make you lose your money or they will "accidently" over pay. Yet maybe that's just me!
The casino wins a lot, but there are always ways to break those odds.
cheers! |

You can always win depending on your attitude towards the experience & the games you play ; Play games with the best odds in your favor , Craps , pass or don't pass line , place the 6 & 8 ; Blackjack paying 3 to 2 & using basic strategy ; Baccarrat , Banker or Player bets only , Full pay Video Poker with perfect play . There are others but these are the basics to having a winning chance , you won't become wealthy like on progressive slot machines but there is a reason why the Slots are the worst in terms of you & your money .
Secondly if & when you do lose just remember you are helping pay the salary of thousands of people who work at and service each and every hotel / casino ; You are helping the economy while having a positvely winning attitude on your entertainment experience ! |

if you're in black jack, you can learn to count cards....the slot machines are a whole 'nother story. there's books you can buy on how to find the "patterns" with them and win. who knows, though... |

As far as I'm concerned, both you and the casino win. They of course have a slight margin in their favor but considering the volume of people playing those machines, they still make money. I think that knowing when to quit is the key to winning. If you win big, don't feed it back into the slots because you are going to lose.
I had a friend who would play only the penney slots. She would go up to probably say 3,200 and often cash in at that point. However, if she had made the denomination dollars instead of penneys then the winnings would have been more meaningful at $3,200 instead of $32.
Another suggestion. Set a limit on the amount you will gamblel, either for that sitting or for your whole trip to Las Vegas. Then don't go over that limit. Of course you never dip into your winnings to increase your original limit. |

The house ALWAYS has a slight edge against the player.
Reasons why;
1. Most people play the worst games; Slot Machine, video poker, the bad chance games. The best games to play are Roulette or BlavkJack
2. Casino's offer alcohol and many people get drunk.
3. Most people come to casino's for the "experience".
4. Casino workers tend to be more experienced in the games.
Bottom Line;
SLOT MACHINE...
Not as bad as the lottery but you have terrible chances. |

the casino figures out the odds of anyone winning any amount at any time, and offer payouts that arre slightly below even. you stay interested, because you could be the on who wins, and they are winners, because of odds that, over time, CANNOT be beaten. |

The house always wins at a Casino. The reason why is simple........ That is how they make money, and every one in business is there to make money. |

The people that constantly put money in the machines are more likely to win the big jackpots, and as for the table games, its all 50/50% Other than the poker tables. |

I've won and I've lost. But the loss column WON. I couldn't have said it more clearly. |

I have a slightly different answer. I look at playing in a Casino as a form of entertainment...one that has the chance of paying back. Whenever I go, I decide how much I can afford to spend towards that fun night out. I also tend to go when there is a good free concert or event, so I think of it as the cover charge for that. About half the time I've hit either to break even or a few hundred. I then take the majority of that money, put it in my wallet, and consider it winning.
And had I lost that amount that is still winning as I had a fun time and spent what I would pay to do anything to have fun. So with that approach I think you always win, sometimes more than others! |
